Until the school votes in favor of reunification, their position is they don’t want to play certain schools in a championship tournament.

It’s is very funny to hear their supporters try to argue against that fact.

Barbe would not be the favorite to win a unified 5A tournament this year.

They are favored to win a split tournament.

Smart vote on their part, don’t you think?

So Barbe has voted for a split for 11 years now, so they could still get a trophy for the 2024 baseball season?

This would be the first year in a long time, that Barbe would go into the playoffs not being the favorites, in a combined 5A bracket.

No one is voting for the split because they’re scared of selects, especially when it comes to baseball in 5A. Non-selects are better at baseball than the selects are in 5A. Has to do with everyone being on the same page as their principals. The non-selects argument wouldn’t really have a point, if different sports were voting for reunification, and going against the consensus, and their principals.

No one has benefitted more from the split than Catholic High. In baseball and football. It’s hilarious seeing this clown try to say Barbe is scared of them

There it is. We voted ourselves out of having to play you, but you are so lucky for not having to play us.

Easy to posture and pretend you aren’t enjoying it when you already know what the vote is gonna end up being anyways

What a stupid reasoning that’s not supported by any measurable facts..

The only facts are those with the votes past and present along with what is said if anything by a member school

Barbe isn’t afraid but that doesn’t change the facts that they continually vote for the split even in Baseball. It’s fine to say that the principal wants a unified vote for all sports but that doesn’t change the facts..just accept that they choose not to play all comers in the playoffs and move on.

Principals do what is best for THEIR school period, sometimes at the direction of the school boards too.

Catholic’s success in football and baseball much more closely aligned with moving on from long tenured coaches than it did with the publics voting to split off.

They won 5A baseball twice right before the split. Happened to be right after they moved on from Garidel.

They became the best football program in the state as soon as Dale Weiner retired.

This is funny. It’s new coaches instead of not having to compete with the schools that had dominated you in the playoffs when it mattered

This is such a lazy take. Catholic has arse blasted the public state champs almost every single year on football

They also have voted against the split EVERY SINGLE TIME

Like WM? Catholic has completely surpassed them

Like Zachary? Catholic is 6-1 agaisnt them since the split

Like Acadiana? Catholic has never lost and they are in select now

There is not a public program that can compete with Catholic the last 6 years in football. And Catholic was winning state in baseball before the split happened…

Barbe is so scared they have Catholic coming to play friday and west Monroe is so scared they went to Catholic to play

This is the first year Catholic would be favored, stop acting like anyone is scared of them year in and year out, it’s a dumb look

Then why do they continue to vote for the split in baseball? If they aren’t scared, I would love to know the reason why they vote to remain separate

And your explanation of “the principal” is ridiculous. The principal isn’t going rogue and voting on a baseball only issue without the input of the baseball coach

Probably because they want to compete with schools that play under the same rules as them and aren’t free to recruit with impunity

I don’t think Barbe voted to split to specifically avoid Catholic. I do think they vote to split to make their path to a championship as easy as they possibly can.

Why do you think they favor the split?
