Personally think they’ll have two open seats in 2028. They’ll keep Shane but I think Ross will look elsewhere. Wouldn’t be shocked to see Dodge and Kaulig drop a bag in Ross lap.

I don’t see Corey day at trackhouse. Justin marks is probably chapped at this. Doubt he takes a Hendrick prospect just to lose another.

I don’t think Cindric will have many options if Penske cuts him loose. I think Penske will look at Zane smith and Layne Riggs.

They kicked tires on Buescher earlier this year. Buescher turned it down. Cindric does not have a contract for next year yet. Will likely get a 1 year extension.
Two guys to watch for that seat in 28. Carson kvapil and Austin Cindric in my opinion.

He runs well at both tracks remaining. Just need to not get swept up in someone else’s mess.

I am and then I’m not at the same time. Noah brings money. Layne Riggs does not. Big risk by front row signing a never was instead of the number one non-cup signed prospect.

Perfect chance for kaulig and Dodge to swoop in and nab him.

SVG on pole for truck race tonight. Wow

Gragson returning to front row 4 next year. So uninspiring.

Bowman should have an asterisk.

Spire is on their way to being what Stewart haas was during the early 2010s. I think Day will be fine there if that’s where he goes.

How much of o Reilly last year was zilisch and the car. This year is showing more the car than the driver. They’re actually the same age. Which I didn’t think. Days ceiling is higher, but I think Rick puts the guy with more cup experience in the 48. And puts day in the 71 or 7 long term. So when Larson wants to do nothing but dirt, Day is right there.

Jeff Dickerson is a businessman. He will absolutely cut a driver to take one on someone else’s payroll. Day is more of a project than zilisch is. Zilisch has had a terrible year, but we’ve seen what he can do in great equipment.

Yeah it’s feasible in North America. I think there is a way to make it work for one overseas round a year. But it would require a lot of cooperation and research.

I was merely considering other leagues.

As long as you have a charter, nascar will expect all teams to field crews. BJ McLeod brought a team to Mexico last year. An open team running the full event debunks your “25-38” argument.

Do I think they could do a better job spreading their races in America out? Absolutely. But there is a place for an international race on the schedule. You and I just flat out do not and will not agree on that. And that’s fine.

And it really doesn’t matter who the better prospect is at this point. They’ll both struggle. Zilisch will have at least 2 years experience by the time Day is a rookie. I don’t see Rick letting day get away yet, nor let someone else get zilisch. At some point there will be another opening at Hendrick. And one of those two will fill it.

I think it’ll be zilisch. Corey day will go to spire with a Hendrick contract and salary. I expect McDowell to be shown the door, unless Suarez falls off a cliff.

You have 37 weekends a year to increase your home base.

What is one weekend outside the country going to hurt?

It’s the same shite I say about people who think 4 road courses are too many. When there were 6 roads, you still have 30 ovals.

The reach is greater now than ever. Capitalize on it.

Don’t do what the nfl has done and have a game every single weekend overseas.

I think it’s a good trip every other year. Just like Montreal would be a good trip every other year.

Hocevar is engaging. No doubt about it. I just don’t think he’s the guy to turn to in that spot. His age and experience shouldn’t make him the judge of the garage.

I think the direction nascar is heading, like more and more tracks getting one race a year instead of two, this opens the door to one round a year outside the border. Montreal would love a cup date. Mexico City would love one back.

I don’t doubt that logistics were a nightmare. Much like any first foray into anything like that. I’d like to think the experience gets better and easier if it happens more often. NASCAR could throw the teams a bone and schedule an off weekend after an international trip though.

Carson isn’t the guy to make that statement and have it resonate. I’d give more credence to someone like Kyle Busch, Christopher bell, chase Elliott.

I’m not seeking the opinion of a 23 year old who’s never left Portage, Michigan before nascar. His words.
