I love restaurants. Therefore I’d prefer to not know what I spend

Family of 5, groceries are typically 350-400 a week.
We eat out once a week, cheapest we can eat out is still over 100.

Over 2k a month on a normal month, if schedules are more hectic and we have to snag fast food or something or goes up. It fluctuates.

I would say on average 2,500-3,200.

400-$500 per month.

That’s insane. How is that remotely possible?

I'm not judgin', but if every day of the year each human in my family blew $25 each on food I'd punch a wall(s). Not built to handle that myself

Probably around $900-$1000 on groceries. Another 2-300 on the eating out. So anywhere from 1100 to 1300 depending on the month.

Family of 3. One of which being a 3 year old with an insatiable berry habit.

Me and wife. Probably $800/mth

I try not to eat out if possible. I’m not a big foodie and could eat ground beef or chicken every night

$2k to $3k…family of 4 w/two teenage boys. That includes beer and wine too so it’s probably high.

It’s easily possible but it would be pretty miserable

I agree. I think in my case it’s a matter of not having the important conversations pre-marriage. Wife doesn’t cook. Kids are spoiled. They better hope nothing ever happens to my career.

We spend around $2500/month. We buy what we want, when we want it. Eat out, cook, delivery…it’s an area we consider entertainment as much as nourishment.

Probably $1000-1500/month, give or take. Trying to reduce that number some in the new year.

ETA: that includes wine & liquor, too.

We mostly cook at home and my wife is an excellent old school, Southern cook. It definitely makes food a much smaller expense for us.

I try to eat healthy foods and shop for stuff that isn't junk. Just buying quality protiens costs me at least a few hundred and that doesn't include a single veggie or fruit.

Same. Food/drink is our hobby. Love to cook, but love to go out and socialize too.

We have a large circle of single friends who like getting together, we have no kids, and we aren't big homebodies. So I'm sure the total spend is higher than I'd want to know.

Family of 4, guessing about $850 in groceries and school lunches, then probably another $550 in dinning out on weekends and late practice/game nights.
