Mardi Gras everywhere outside of NOLA is a joke and pales in comparison...

Despite the "challenges" in NOLA it's still the best Mardi Gras experience anywhere with maybe the exception of Carnival in Rio De Janeiro...which I have never been to but I assume is amazing.
All you other OT baws can stay home and cry about the crowds and parades and people loving it.

I would disagree. Mobile actually is great. Bars open 24/7 with 2 1/2 weeks of huge parades every night. Joe Cain Day is New Orleans on steriods. Plus they started Mardi Gras.
1) New Orleans

But I agree...for a good time it is hard to beat. It ain't for the old folks though...my 24 year old son and 3 of his friends are heading down Friday morning and have been pestering the shite out of me to go with them so I can foot the bill...they won't admit that last part but we all know why they want me to go. I am waaaaayyyyy too old to go.

done nola many times - lived there for quite a while - I'll take going back to my rural hometown and hanging out with old friends for several days in a tiny town that shuts down except bars, restaurants, and street concerts then capping it off with a courir every time
