Not sure why you are getting downvotes except people don’t want to believe everything they’ve been told is a lie I guess.
Eat fatty ruminant meat, stay away from or minimize carbs and processed food, move around and lift heavy things. Your blood pressure will normalize pretty quick.
Y’all downvoters are some fricking retards, enjoy being a slave to big pharma and frequent doctor visits
I'm with you, man. I was on 3 blood pressure meds and crestor in my 30's (now 52), lost 40lbs by changing my diet and lifestyle. I rarely eat sugar and carbs, mostly fresh meat and vegetables, and now I'm med free. BP is 115/70 and normal cholesterol with no meds. Sugar (processed food) is truly the devil.

Normal weight in the U.S. is still grossly overweight. This thread is full of guys who are 5’9” 220 lbs and think they just need to lose 10 lbs.

Doctors and nurses always pawned it off on "you must get nervous coming to the doctor, your blood pressure is high". They were the experts, I believed them.
They weren't wrong in that white coat syndrome is real and fairly common. That is why doctors will often tell you to buy a blood pressure monitor and chart your BP at home. That is probably what they should have done.

exactly. most need to lose 35-40.
if you are 5'10....normal weight would be 175-190 and thats if you are very muscular. 200 would be if you have been bodybuilding seriously for 15-20 years.
normal bodyfat percentage in the 702/80s and even into the 90s was considered 15%. normal, not lean, just normal.
how many of you can honestly say you are below 20% or close to it based on the pictures below? This is why 99% of you have to take medicine. Not all, but almost all

Yeah I've been on them since my late 20's. I inherited Hypertension from my mom. Been on BP meds ever since.

This feels like it would be a very rare event and even more rare for it to happen to someone with no other contributing causes but what do I know, you're the doc

Dudes denying they are fat with high BP are akin to the fat girls who say it's their thyroid.

Taking norvasc since I was 17.
Been on diuretic on and off.
Try and eat a lot of greens etc.
Have stayed super active.
Keep it in check.
To anyone calling me fat, frick off.
D1 track / CC scholarship.
Grandpa was all state rb.
Dad skinny.
Brother had D2 offers as receiver.
We all had high BP before 18.
Sometimes it's just genetic.
But, for most people, diet and exercise will do the trick.
Eat healthy shite, and do cardio.

cool but understand you are the outlier. you are the 1-2%. thats not the case for most on here
like someone else said...got a bunch of dudes that are 5'8-5'10 weighing 225 thinking they only need to lose 10 lbs and 15 to be shredded when its more like 35-45 lbs if they lift weights.

Yes, yes. Please continue to trust the medical industrial complex and pharmaceutical companies, along with all the processed food companies that fund studies that magically interpret "data" to keep you on their Health as as Service plan! FDA surely has the nutrition guidelines in order! No conflict of interests there, don't look behind the curtain!

Yeah I'm 5'9" and had ballooned up to 225. I've gotten back down to 195-200 in 4 months time and looking to get down to about 180. That's still probably a tad overweight for 5'9" but that's probably about as low as I'll realistically get at 41 years old. I mean I guess I could stop drinking and start training for an Ironman but frick all that. I just want to look good enough naked that chick's will frick me with the lights on.

One of my coworkers has been taking them since his late 20's. Looks similar to this guy.

Almost 47 Lisinopril 25 mg and aspirin daily

115/76 this morning for me.
Same. That makes a big difference.

It’s really this simple. We could get 90% of people of meds if they would just clean up their diet by getting off processed foods and stop eating carbs.

We have normalized obesity in this country. We have normalized men in their 30's and 40's being on 3 or 4 prescription medications. That isn't normal. Try and fat shame someone now. You will get blasted. Being a fat obese slob can't be criticized. Without all these prescription medications these people would die its the only thing keeping them alive.
