My gut feeling tells me this punishment for our resistance to his illegal alien invasion.
Definitely.

He's getting back at Texas over the defiance at the border. It has nothing to do with the American consumer.

They can call it whatever they want, but this is why Biden is doing this.

This happened immediately after Landry supported TX National Guard at the Border

Sad for Lake Charles and Cameron. Those LNG projects would provide a much-needed boost to the economy and population, which is still recovering from Hurricane Laura.
Yeah, what's really damaging is the negative economic impact this will have on LC, Cameron and other areas effected by the pause. One of my friends has a family member working on the Cameron/LC project for Global Venture. The total price tag is $13 BILLION while his company's share would be $250 MILLION. That's a lot of good paying jobs for Americans the Biden administration is putting on hold, and for no logical reason. Biden's official press release announcing the pause is idiotic and makes no sense.

This is a really dumb move by Biden and I don’t understand what he thinks this will accomplish.

It a punishment from a democrat administration against red states.
The governors of LA and TX should refuse to allow any petroleum products to be shipped to any blue state until these types of actions are stopped.
And if the democrat voting blue state citizens freeze to death then good riddance.

Seems arbitrary and capricious. Please tell me the companies affected by this are already drafting up a lawsuit. I can’t see this holding up under judicial scrutiny.

Louisiana and Texas ,great LNG producers and exporters, need to sue Potatohead Puppet as he or should have no power to shut down private owned industries.

Five terminal projects already approved for construction will add another 67 million tonnes of capacity within 2 years.
This week Biden froze these building approvals, citing their contribution to climate change,
can you people PLEASE stop pointing out the few things that America is still doing well. Biden sniffs that shite out so he can ruin it too.

quote:I mean, it likely will. Which is a weird goal given they are trying to get people to STOP using natural gas.
Says it will Lower Prices for US

quote:No. Effectively INCREASING the supply of natural gas domestically will drop gas prices (not LNG prices. Overseas, those could spike.)
So lowering the supply of LNG (or keeping it constant) and reducing exports is supposed to drop LNG prices and help our import/export trade component of GDP?

Less supply always lowers prices.

Louisiana should secede.

Maybe they can catch a piggy back ride on Texas when that never happens either
Posted on 2/1/24 at 12:03 pm to Big Scrub TX
Maybe in the near term. But this will have the opposite effect over time as many of the gas wells are planned in anticipation of the new LNG terminals. Take those out of the equation and production will drop off due to lack of investment in new production.
