LSU can certainly win back to back national championship as long as they don’t have to play South Carolina in tournament. Thanks to Iowa it worked out last year. Iowa beat South Carolina once again, hopefully.

Who would you even go after to replace Kim when she does retire?

Why would you say this? LSU wins the game last night if Angel doesn’t foul out. Why are you acting like we lost by 30?

Meh I think she was just rambling. I doubt she hangs it up soon.

I’m with you. Her energy on the sideline isn’t of someone whose toying with calling it a career

I think this team is good enough to repeat. They showed that last night.

Refs were abysmal. Very one sided. Reese has to be a bit less aggressive when she’s up 2-3 fouls.

LSU wins the game last night with non-SEC officiating.

I think she’ll hang it up somewhere close to 70.

And not to pile on her, but HVL needs to learn to pass, and needs to learn when to milk the clock. She made some great shots, but she also made some very critical errors that gave SC points, and gave Reese two fouls.

You can't do that against a team like USC.

She says at the end , " we will just continue to do what we do" That doesnt sound like retirement to me. She knows that they let that one slip away, she like everyone else LSU was disappointed but she will make it a valuable learning opportunity.

I'd like to think she's just setting realistic expectations about how hard it is to stay on top, so losses like tonight shouldn't discourage players and fans from the big picture of what has been built so quickly.

Obviously just speculating, but it was a tough loss to the #1 team in an electric atmosphere, so I believe she was just speaking off the cuff, as she tends to do.

I tend to agree, and I hope you're right. She knows she has the support of the school and the community. She WILL win another NC at LSU. It's just a matter of how soon. If Sa'Myah Smith had not gone down earlier in the season, we would've won last night, despite the really questionable officiating. I think we all knew that if the officials let the Cockettes play bully ball, we would most likely fade down the stretch due to lack of depth. That's pretty much what happened.

Coaching for a top level program is not an older coaches game anymore. There's just so much extra work within the last few years. shite gotta wear you out.

I dont think she retires after this year, but i also dont think she’ll be coaching in 5 years. I think she came here as her last job and to win a championship, and the championship came quicker than expected. So it wouldnt surprise me if she only has 1-2 mlre seasons left

The real question is which one of the fruit cakes at the end of the bench take over the program when she retires?

gave Reese two fouls

That 5th foul was all on Reese. She has to be smarter at that point knowing she has 4 fouls.

If she does go out then we should bring back Pokey.

That sets precedent and paves the way for our general to return

She prefaced and said I’ll forever be grateful to lsu and the fans. But that she’s no spring chicken and do we know how hard they grind? Should I just hang it up ?

I hate that shite. It’s emotional night. But damn

Your salary is over 50 times the La average. Do you grind 50 times harder than the avg La person trying to work and pay bills everyday? Who is also getting emails asking them to send money monthly to the LSU Collective?

I love Kim. But if you are having issues with people not having reasonable expectations then just say that.

That was passive aggressive as frick. Maybe you aren’t as grateful as you think.

Baylor never provided you an atmosphere like that. They also didn’t pay you like that.

Just a guess and I would have said this even before any of this. I always thought that she would be a short timer at LSU. She will not be one that coaches into her 70’s. Life and her family is too important to her and spending time with them and her mom especially. She has done the biggest accomplishment of her career. Coming back home to Louisiana and winning a championship. If I had to guess maybe 2 more years 5 tops. But retirement at any time wouldn’t shock me.
