Shreveport.
I have a lot to like here. Specifically, I like my neighborhood area. South Shreveport, one exit away from Desoto parish is like another place entirely. Upscale stores, bars, and restaurants, good parks etc. The events are very family friendly and never worry about a thing out here. Also, live 20 minutes away from land with stoked bass lakes.
Dislike: schools. My kid is still very young now, but places that were once a good option are deteriorating. feeling like I might have left NOLA behind just to still send my kid to private school
I guess if I had to pick I'd like to give Tennessee a shot.. maybe Chattanooga area.. it's beautiful and I hear great things, plus the therapy I provide has much better compensation rates there.

Should be a fun thread...
Baton Rouge:
Favorite: LSU, Proximity to New Orleans (Pels games, Saints games, concerts, festivals), the weather, generally (I hate the cold, but have to put up w/ hurricanes)
Least Favorite: The people, the crime, the trash (people and litter), the proximity to New Orleans (BR is constantly looked over due to New Orleans and its close proximity).

Alexandria:
Lot's of things to do. Great Mall. Plenty upscale stores and restaurants. Very safe area with excellent schools. We feel we've hit the lottery living here.

Dublin, OH (Suburb of Columbus)
- Lived here almost 30 years.
Likes - Close to Ohio State, restaurants/bars, parks, bike/walking trails, house, great schools, minimal crime, access to all kinds of youth/adult sports, 4 seasons, can be in the country in about 5 minutes. Easy access to freeways, not overrun with traffic, Dublin Tavern.
Dislikes - being overrun with Indians (not the American kind), taxes are pricey, snobby people, no mountains or beaches nearby, flat terrain.
Seriously considering relocating to South Carolina to be closer to kids. Trying to figure out between Greenville area and/or outside of Charleston.

Just moved so I'll answer for two places.
Alexandria, VA: Love the history and places to go see. Hate the public education system.
Houston, TX: Love the food, hate how car-centric it is. Bonus: The weather fricking sucks.

Out of Minnesota????
The UP is over 330 miles East-to-West.
That't like from BR to Birmingham or to Memphis

San Antonio
Pros - historical architecture almost reminiscent of New Orleans makes it feel less like a suburban hellhole, people are friendly, low cost of living (for texas), there are some good public and charter schools, great bbq and tex Mex, lower crime rate than other cities of its size, less traffic than other cities in texas, also gets a lot of country shows, our own rodeo, fiesta, near the hill country and new braunfels (Wurstfest, rivers, schlitterbahn)
Cons - it’s a little run down (this is changing though), lots of people are discovering this place raising the COL and bringing much more traffic. Also you have to be ok with being the only white person around sometimes (this doesn’t bother me and most Hispanics generally like white people)

Like: Weather, plenty of stuff to do, centrally located for air travel (opposite for road travel), culture, restaurants, relatively safe (where I live).
Dislike: Expensive (real estate/cost of living) and traffic.

Charleston, SC
The people, history, character, culture, architecture, beaches, golfing, weather, fishing, views, food, drink, entertainment, festivals, predominant politics
Rent/housing prices, but I understand they're driven by the above.
Here. I'll never leave.

Come to Laffy! Youngsville in particular. Check into it!

I find the random placement of rocking chairs very strange. I don’t really like that airport.
Rest of the places I went there were very nice. Some of the neighborhoods looked just like Atalanta suburbs.

Las Vegas
Pros. Lots of action
Cons. Hot AF in summer, crowded, crime
