Bit the bullet and purchased one of these smokeless fire pits from Amazon. 21” in diameter. It’s certainly not smokeless but not sure what I can compare it to. Great for the “yard” for urbanites.

Unfortunately I’ve had to shift my chair if the smoke goes a different direction. It would be a hit at your upcoming crawfish boils once the sun goes down.

No issues with it melting your “grass”?

Do you live in a mid-century modern underground bunker?

Bad thing about those is they suck at putting out heat. Not bad on regular nights but they suck when its cold.

My nabor has one. It’s pretty smokeless if the wood is under the top rim.
They don’t put out a lot of heat though.
Looks cool for party’s.

It might be smokeless if you didn’t have so much wood in it. The goal is to keep the flame within the pit and you may see better results. Having a bonfire in your smokeless pit won’t cut it

i believe you aren't supposed to put so much wood that the wood protrudes from the top, the airflow from the holes around the rim is supposed to burn excess wood gasses for the cleaner burn

Tomorrow I’m burning my tenant’s Christmas tree I hauled off for her, along with our own big one. It will not be smokeless. Will post pics. It’s gonna be low teens or colder in the am.

I have a solo stove and it puts out plenty of heat. I guess you just have to know how to burn wood. Start with a little small chunk of a fire log combined with some dry pallet wood chopped up into kindling. And then some good small chunks of oak possibly some pecan but I prefer to use the pecan to cook with. It does well for us. I like it

If you're getting smoke, try not putting so much wood in there. Keep it below the rim.

How does any device guarantee no smoke? What you are burning and how much moisture lies therein determines that.

That wood is not seasoned then, also I never put 10 logs in it at the same time either
How about start w/ 3 logs and just add one in 20 min
