Crazy after he goes to Georgia yesterday but that was only as co-defensive coordinator. That will be a big win for Bama if they get him back.

He's probably gonna take it too since he interviewed. Crazy turn of events.

I know they want him for recruiting but is he actually a good DC?

If he did, Bama is in trouble.

Co-dc at Washington.. Sounds like he might be the safeties coach.

If it's T-Rob at DC explains why Durkin also being hired

Pretty sure the only defensive staff that has been confirmed is Freddie Roach as DL coach

Would be big for roster retention. Have no idea if he can run a defense though.

Might as well make Saban DC, put a window in his stadium office like he’s coaching from the booth.

Which one is more important? Short term? long term?

Now hold on, love him as a DB coach but would be wild to hire a DC with 0 experience at this juncture

Correction:
Gamecocks DC 2016-2019

Could be good for retention but comes off as very reactionary/in-the-moment

This seems very desperate by Bama. Me like.

He was calling much of the defense this year apparently.

The major concern with DeBoer was roster retention and recruiting. Robinson provides a major assist with both if true.

It’s also a sign whether he gets hired or not that DeBoer is listening to the players and those at Alabama who know how things work down south, something I think it took Brian Kelly until this offseason to figure out from an assistant coach perspective.
