I find it funny that you are lecturing a group that pays lots of taxes toward feeding the infirm, the elderly and the lazy.
In addition, many of that group give to churches which give to the needy in their own communities, around the country and around the world.
We are currently raising money for another school and property for kids in Africa.
So I guess the question is, how much more of my money should I be required to give you people?

Oh you actually mean forcing them not to kill their baby in utero. Why not just say it that way?

My friend recently gave birth to her son whose brain developed outside of his skull in utero.
Ok so the preferred option would be a mercy killing of the baby if given the option?

Most of the people in these predicaments aren't like you or me.
They're one step away from being savages. They're fueled by primal urges with zero sense of responsibility or accountability.

all summer?
In Louisiana, families got $40 to cover “all summer.”

Why?
I didn’t create the eligibility criteria but middle class families receiving $40 in food stamps is not in the top 200 things the government wastes money on.

That’s the conundrum.
By your logic, we should support them their entire lives, including future generations that they produce. It appears we are already doing that.
And who are these people wanting abortions, but unable to get them? State borders are not some invisible barrier that people are unable to cross.

Natural selection would have eliminated their bloodlines already, but we keep propping them up with tax dollars.

Not wanting babies to be murdered in the womb means that one must also support full govt support for the child until death.

There is no government which can conjure resources to feed people, there is only us who work all day to send the government money to buy food for people.
Defying the normal course of human history whereby the impoverished are malnourished, we've managed to grow ourselves a crop of fat, poor people whose health is wrecked by obesity.
In this case, reducing the rate at which we (society) overfeed our low income citizens is both necessary and humane.

So should the Fathers of soon to be babies have a right to decide whether the child is born?
If not, then how can you hold Men financially responsible if the woman is final the arbiter of whether or not a pregnancy is carried to term?

Maybe we should stop paying lazy, irresponsible women to treat their vaginas like clown-cars.

Does the government force women to not kill their kids after they are born?

Because the government didn't force them to frick someone who can't afford to feed them and the baby (with rape being the exception, of course) and the government didn't force them to keep a child (or children) they are not emotionally and/or financially capable of taking care of.
We should instead be focusing efforts on programs pushing personally responsible sexual behavior (including a heavy emphasis on abstinence until marriage).
My mother worked in social services for the state for over 30 years, 20 of that in child relocation. In that time, her caseload never decreased, it only increased. That's because the VAST majority of these kids (the ones who need a Summer EBT program) come from families generationally on public programs. While not intentional, the effect of the way these programs are set up encourage people to get on them, behave in unresponsible manners and then penalize them for trying to get off of them.
The last thing we need is to expand them.

Indeed. Its beyond stupidity.

When you reward bad behavior and then never stop that reward I would call that intentional at this point.

Literally no one here thinks you created the eligibility criteria so there is no need to keep repeating that statement.
What has been asked and you refuse to answer is "Why?" As in, if the family income is not low enough to meet free/reduced lunch eligibility during the school year, why would there be any need to supplement their food in the summer? They already got free meals all year that they didn't "need" so they should already have extra funds for summer food, right? Bonus food all school year AND bonus food in the summer, for families you admit are middle class?

"Don't frick" is the single most reliable method of not having an unwanted pregnancy, but some people lose their minds if you suggest it. It's like saying "don't smoke" if you don't want to become addicted to cigarettes.

I was terrified of getting girls pregnant in HS, even if they were on the pill.
People are reckless with their own lives because they keep getting do-overs. I dont feel sorry for people who make these mistakes, they have the same options I had.

Undoubtedly. First-hand experience with the absolute refusal of government to fix a problem because it would cause people to lose their jobs as problem-fixers is what finally pushed Thomas Sowell away from being a Marxist.
My point was that I don't think the programs were originally created to be the traps they have become.
