If DeBoer is the hire, could we see a similar trajectory to that of CBH during his time at Auburn?

DeBoar would be walking in to a MUCH better situation than Harsin did

I don't know that it would be that quick, but I think a Harsin trajectory is more likely than a NC.

I also think DeBoer would be insane for passing on the Seattle job for the Bama job (assuming he's been offered both).

Dumb fans act like Harsin's problem was where he was from when the issue was that he was a jerk, not a great football mind, and didn't recruit

DeBoer is a much better coach than Harsin.

Recruiting abilities might be similar though. However, it'll be much easier to recruit at Bama than Auburn I'd have to imagine.

Yes. Every coach from the PNW is exactly the same person. They are clones.

He is a much better coach and walking into a much better situation. That being said, he will still have trouble with having no history in the region and that really hurt Harsin, among his other shortcomings.

He is not coming to Bama… don’t even know if he was contacted but he will get a raise at UW

I must have missed Harsin's national title game appearances and 12-1 record against ranked teams

I think he is a better coach than Harsin but it would still be a very risky hire. Very little head coaching experience and zero experience without an established starter at QB. No ties to the south and with the exception of a few transfers, is almost exclusively recruiting the west coast.

I think Harsin was an arsehole. I don't get that vibe from DeBoer.

His defense this year was bad tho. LSU actaully had a better pass d.

Total Defense:
Rank Team
96 Washington - 406.7 ypg
105 LSU - 416.6 ypg

Pass D:
115 LSU-comp% allowed -63.81% - ypg 255.6
117 Wash-comp% allowed -59.18%-ypg 258.6

Rush Defense
58 Washington - ypr - 4.69 - ypg 148.1
85 LSU - ypr-4.53 - ypg 161

Scoring Defense
54 Washington PPG 24.8
T-78 LSU PPG 28
