Bachelor Trip @ Hard Rock Biloxi

Doing a bachelor trip in Biloxi and staying at the Hard Rock Hotel. Bachelor likes the music theme and we plan on staying there most of the time. Has anyone stayed here and can give their thoughts on the resort? Also willing to listen to suggestions on what might be within walking distance of the resort.

Not a bad choice. My favorite place is the Beau Rivage right next door. They have the best restaurants and sports book.

Project Lounge for burgers.

Half Shell Restaurant is good. They have another location outside the hotel that is better.

A good place to stay is Legends across the street if you can’t get a room or it’s too much $$

It's a hole in the wall, but can confirm the burgers are amazing.

Have done a couple of bachelor parties there.
When is the trip?
If warm, get a cabana by the pool and spend the day out there. Dinner at Ruth's Chris and some gambling. Call a host ahead of time and let them know you are bringing in a party and ask for concert tickets if there is an act that night. Steakhouse at Beua Rivage is the better restaurant if you want to leave the property but it's $$$.
If too cold for pool time. Schedule a mini bus to take the group there and get a tee time durng the day. There are several courses nearby. Some are nicer/challenging if you are golfers and some are more laid back if you just want to get drunk and smack the ball around.

I believe it's near the end of March. Not a whole lot going on it looks like. Should be the very tail end of college spring breaks. We're all early 30s.
Does the course have club rentals? Silly question but I've only ever done one golf trip and that was borrowing a set of clubs from a friend.

Every course I have ever been to has them. Just tell them ahead of time how many you need to rent. Also, if you aren't regular players, tell the pro shop when you make the tee time. They will generally give you a bit of a buffer on tee times if they aren't super busy so you don't have groups right up your butt the whole time.

March Madness in the sports book is always fun. There are bars and brewery within walking distance of the Hard Rock. And downtown Ocean Springs is right over the bridge. They have a lively nightlife as well as restaurants and such.

When I was there 13 years ago they had a Ruth’s on site. Bachelor parties and steak dinners go together like strippers and the clap.

I go with a big group to the Beau for MM every year. We get there when it opens, get a table and sit there til dinner. Never been sold a table but we do eat and drink the whole time and run a large tab.

When are you going? Day drinking in the pool/hot tub is fun there

Their "official" policy is that they seat in 2-hour blocks and you have a table minimum of $300.
I've found that they generally won't hustle you off a table if you're keeping the wait staff busy between the kitchen and bar.

Been to 5 Bachelor Parties that we stayed at either the Hard Rock or Beau. Club at the Hard Rock is really fun. I do miss Boogie Nights upstairs at Hard Rock which is now a Country Bar. Also Coast (which was AWESOME) is no longer at the Beau. It has been converted to their sportsbook.

Skip the casino steak houses and go to Mary Mahoney's across the street from Hardrock/Beau instead. Will be a lot more fun and you'll probably spend less money. Make sure you reserve well in advance if you have a big group.
Also, spend an evening in Downtown Ocean Springs (Government Street). It's about a 10 minute uber. Alot of good casual food options (Murky Waters, Mosaics, Gov St Grocery). If you want something nicer, Maison de Lu or Phoenicias, which is brown bag so make sure you stop at a liquor store. They allow open containers so you can bar hop down the street. I like Glory Bound and Mosaics - they usually have live music. Then late night at the casinos.

Hard Rock is fine. If you get their updated rooms, they are cool and trendy.

It looks like you can actually order a guitar and amp to some rooms, which sounds like fun for the room but not the rooms nextdoor

I’m not big on the hard rock . Rather the beau , golden nugget and the palace . Biloxi has gotten better over the years though . They’ve cleaned it up and there’s a ton of restaurants on the strip and downtown . I like shaggys and the reef on the beach side. Half shell and fillin station off the beach .
