Lanning has a $20 million dollar buyout if he leaves before his contract is up

I doubt Gump's going to pay that. It was part of his new contract that he signed after last season.

He will receive up to three automatic one-year extensions for winning 10 or more games in the regular season and a $500,000 bonus for winning the College Football Playoff. The contract makes Lanning the second-highest paid coach in the Pac-12.

Bama will burn down every department of that university to keep the football team rolling. I don’t see a buyout being a problem.

Lanning has not been a head coach long enough to have a real track record on recruiting. Gumps big on recruiting prowess. They fired coaches because of it.
