Here's the truth about any movie, media, music these days:
if you are constantly looking for a slant, you will find one, regardless of if it is there, or not. Sometimes, history offends ones political beliefs.
This movie shows some members of the communist party as normal individuals, without necessarily endorsing their behavior or motives, nor does it preach against communism. The movie tries to explain Oppenheimer, but not crucify or cheer for him. If this offends you, go watch the Jackass movies. They are fun and you don't have to think to much.

Mate how do you feel about historical dramas forcing characters of colour into leading roles no matter how far-fetched it would be?
I'm currently watching Julian Fellowe's "The Gilded Age" and a young woman of colour is a primary character. It's absurd and I have to work hard to not let it ruin the otherwise very good programme through the constant racism and wypipoisms that she stoicly endures time after time after time... after time.
Fellowes partook in this same cuckoldry towards the end of Downton Abbey, having the beautiful blonde cousin (Lady Rose, I believe) lusting openly about a jazz musician of colour.
Thank God it wasn't Lady Mary.

Watch “Fat Man and Little Boy ”
You don’t get the garbage of today as it was made in 1989.

If this bothers you it's because you're a bitch

Mate,I can't stand this as much as you. My general point had to do with people constantly looking to be offended politically or culturally.

Historical works were the ONE remaining refuge from the Globalists pushing it nonstop.
But recently the filth decided they had to inject their replacement agenda into 1920's British society and 1880's Manhattan. 80% of commercials, movies, and television programmes just wasn't enough.

No, leftists have always sought to interject lies into the stories of the past. It helps to legitimize their bullshite.

My hearing is fine.
But for some reason many directors feel like they need to get the actors to whisper to each other during normal voice. I guess they feel like it’s artistically profound.

I didn't have any trouble understanding anything but I saw it in IMAX

"politically slanted?" No idea, watch VERY very few modern films. But to each their own, surely I am missing out on some good stuff.

I don’t think so. If you go into the movie knowing what it is, a biopic about Oppenheimer who was a man of many many many contradictions, he was a communist but refused to join the communist party and chose to help the US largely out of his own ego and ambition which destroyed him late in life so you should expect that to be involved. I don’t think it gives any particular credence to any one ideology being better like Marxism would be utopia if we all just believed enough like films usually do. It simply presents pretty neutral facts and yes stuff about that is in there. If that’s too political for you I’d pass

The majority of the movie is about his friendship with communists. He never sees this as a bad thing. The movie may not be blatantly pro commie, but its at least neutral towards them.

It is an expose on the unholy union between science and politics and is the birth of the Deep State.
Detach yourself from the accusation that he was a communist for a minute, and remember- there were never any findings he was a spy; and he was not a member of the communist party. Also, just trade in your brain communist with “insurrectionist.”
leftists have no intellectual honesty so they can’t see the parallels.
You will think about it for weeks. I just watched it again last week and was so glad I did bc it made it easier to keep the players all straight.
It’s so good.

This would be a pretty good post as he was railroaded later in life by people bitter by his success but there is no “accusation” he was a communist. He was a communist. He believed in communists ideologies. It is true he was never a member of a communist party but Oppenheimer was man largely driven by his ego and ambition and saw the US Manhattan Project as his best pathway to realizing that. If it would’ve been the Soviet’s he would’ve joined them

Christopher Nolan's films are not left-leaning or preachy. In fact, he's been accused of being right-wing because his films aren't full of leftist propaganda.

He was railroaded. I hate commies and he had friends that were commies. Doesn’t change that he was railroaded.

It was better than I thought it was going to be. It has its pro communism moments.. It's anti govt moments, it's pro military moments etc

I usually watch for slant and had a difficult time finding any, let alone in which direction it would be.
Good film, and it definitely doesn’t feel like 3 hours.
