Yes. He got straight up robbed of the Heisman too.

He'll be 24 when the draft comes around. Most QBs in the draft are usually 21-22 so you would need about 2-3 years to get them developed. Someone like Penix would be 27 at that time.

Dude is definitely a good QB but teams will shy away from his injury history first and foremost, then the age thing which isn't as bad as Brandon Weeden but most teams would want a younger QB.

I see him being drafted by either the Patriots or Commanders with their second round pick when they miss out on Williams and Maye.

Someone will get good value with Penix. He’s big but quick with great instincts. Great footwork and laser accuracy.

Ewers got antsy last night and impatient. Throwing too early. Penix would roll out, sidestep sacks and buy some time to find someone open.

He should be no worse than early second round depending on medical evaluation of his knees. Some of the throws he made last night were crazy good, through tiny windows and right on target.

His medical history is what will hold him back.

The dude is awesome tho.

If he doesn't end up in the 1st round, Seahawks should draft him in the 2nd.

His release is on the longer side and NFL coaches will hold that against him. I do think he could potentially be a 1st rounder but his medical history and throwing style could push him to the 2nd.

Yes, Penix should have won the heisman

The same people who argued that it wasn't a debate between him and Daniels are now slobbering over Penix..which means they never bothered to watch him play during the season. Which makes the Heisman voting a joke.

Isn’t he like 25 years old? That might hurt him somewhat
Hes 23 will be 24 in May.

In my opinion Penix is the best QB at this point in this draft.
Maye is the best prospect.

Penix played his best game last night since like September. Kudos to him for showing up but he didn’t win the Heisman bc he was bad for about five weeks straight in late October through November, and they just gutted out a bunch of like 24-20 wins.

His biggest nfl knock will be his delivery. It’s got shades of Tebow. Very long and loopy which tends not to translate to the nfl

If he is valuable in the second, then why would you draft him in the first for the extra contract year.

Meh. He's about as NFL ready as anybody. He won't need 2-3 years to develop. And the biggest advantage of drafting a QB in the 1st round is to have him under a rookie deal for 4-5 years so you can allocate resources to build around him. This isn't 10 years ago.

maybe. I honestly don't know how much previous knee injuries are weighed if guys are currently healthy.

Nah. HUGE difference between 24 and Weeden. Or Weinke. And they both went in the 1st. His age might actually be a plus if a team is looking for him to come in and start year 1 or 2.

If his medicals are OK he is one of those guys that a team will trade into the back of the 1st (28 pick and later) and snatch him just for that chance of that extra year.

That is the smart thing to do in the NFL now. If you think he has a chance to be a legit average or above starting QB, you do it with how cost inflation of QBs outpaced most other positions.

Weinke went in the 4th round and both of them were straight up arse cheeks in the NFL.

I do believe Penix is one of the better QB's in this draft. He'll probably go mid-late first and be on a successful team.

So Penix, Daniels and Nix are off the table since they all the same age.

Penix throws a better deep ball than any of the other QB's and his team is undefeated.

Some team will get a steal on him if he falls
