Electric salt and pepper grinders from the family white elephant. Miniature whisk for scrambled eggs as a stocking stuffer.

In the category of something I definitely could live without but it's cool anyway, I got a folding chef's knife.

A question for you guys. I got a quesadilla maker. It wasn't anything I asked for and I am thinking of taking it back. I have cast iron griddles that I use for making quesadillas and other things and while I'm sure this thing works, I'm not sure why I "need" it.
Do any of you you have one and do you use it a lot?

I also got a MEATER 2 plus. How did yours work? It was my first time using but I found the internal probe temp to be off by about 10 degrees and then the external park of the probe said 20 degrees lower then what the stove was set at.
I kept checking with my thermapen and getting different internal temps.

I was curious about this too. There does not appear to be a way to calibrate it.

My wife bought me a set of caveman style carbon steel knives. Pulled them from the boxes, for a picture but they’re still in the manufacturer’s wrapping. She also bought me a countertop magnetic block for storage. Was not expected. :)
