No he doesn’t. Not right now he doesn’t. He may develop to be, but he certainly doesn’t now. Does he have a stronger arm? Sure. But, accuracy, placement, touch, are all far more important than sheer strength.

Denbrock and Kelly seem smart enough, on offense at least, to scheme around the best players you have as opposed to forcing players to fit into a scheme they aren't made for. I think we'll see a much more Pro Style offense next year.

Nuss is going to have 15 interceptions, but he's also going to have 50 TD passes.

The offensive play calling changed every time Nuss came in the game last year. We only ran curls and Drags until Daniels started hitting people in stride. Denbrock has proven he will adapt the play calling to his personnel

If he has 50 TDs he will win the Heisman. Are you saying he will win the Heisman? Be more realistic, he’s without our 2 best WRs, we will be lucky if he throws for 30 TDs. 30/15 is way more likely

Like a punch-drunk boxer who doesn’t know when to stay down, I choose to believe this is true and foolishly hang all my hopes, dreams and happiness on this expectation.

You'll see more sideline stuff, more play action, and more deeper route concepts. We definitely ran a lot of deep stuff with Daniels, but I'm talking DEEP like 40+ yards downfield. Whether he hits those deep shots at a high enough percentage remains to be seen, but he'll definitely attempt them a lot.

I actually believe we'll run more 2 TE sets myself. They'll put an emphasis on running the ball more. A lot of Daniels' big runs were called passes in the huddle. So probably an average of 3-4 runs per game were actually passes. That should put Nuss at no less than 30 passes per game, and will likely throw closer to 35 per game than 30 per game.

No it isn't because he won't have that many ints or that few tds.

I think we’re all gonna find out that denbrock isn’t the great play caller Jayden made him out to be .

I expect a pretty decent regression in production.

On the flip side. I predict house will be retained and new assistants will be brought in, defensive will be improved and everyone will love him again. You know, like they did the first year.

A lot of what JD did was on the fly and not scripted. If Nuss will have big success it has to be more like Burrow. Quick and efficient passing with an occasional deep ball.

My deal with Nuss is that he seems to force the ball sometimes. Thus causing picks

He doesn't have the escapability of Daniels or Nabors and Thomas to throw too, so how much change do you see ??

More 2 tight end set ?

Heavy run and play action ?

Nuss is still going to air it out and they will utilize the running backs more exclusively in the running game and a little more play action but don't expect the offense to significantly change to a heavy run based offense. Still going to pass the ball early and often.

“escapability?”

He was the whole running game. The offense better change or we are looking at 6-6.

Nuss has MUCH better pocket awareness and can escape the pocket just fine. He also has the ability to keep his eyes downfield when doing so. Daniels got better as the season went on, but he still had moments of running into defenders and his own offensive linemen. Nuss’s hurdle will be mental: not throwing every pass like his job depended on it.

Honestly jd would make any OC look like a genius. I expect a little more frustration on the offense.

JD5s rushing production will be replaced by RBs

Passing yards to remain same/similiar

WR #s will be less

TE #s will be more offsetting reduction from WR’s

Overall can be just as good but will look different. More rushing, play action, more TE involvement

In short a match up nightmare for opposing defenses

Nuss has not demonstrated this kind of ability at all— Yet. Burrow was a machine out there.

Yes, it will be different. More downfield passes and passes to tight ends and backs. That will significantly open up the running game by running backs. You won’t see us running it for the sake of balance either. This offense is designed to take what the defense gives.

Probably not.

With Mason Taylor, Pimpton, Treydez Green and Markway I would be surprised if we didn't. Maybe one in line and the other spread or one as an H-back and the other spread.

Also, with all of the quality RBs I suspect some more TE run heavy packages. If Markway improves his technique he can be a good blocker like Moss was in 2019. He played a big role in Clyde's production.
