Dude you’re full of shite. Barely watchable? Jesus what were you expecting? Considering the shite that has been released post Covid this is somewhat upper middle of the road. I enjoy it for what it is.

I liked how the Hippogriff from Harry Potter had a cameo. This movie was all over the place and just bad.

This thing is unintentional comedy. I laughed a lot. It is so absurd. Fell asleep after the bad guy showed up dressed like a Mormon boy headed to Tabernacle. Can’t wait to finish it up to see what comedy awaits.

Someone said Snyder films are beautiful to look at or something like that? This thing looks like vey low budget CGI at best. Looks like a cartoon.

I thought it was pretty good. The reveals towards the end and at the end give you stuff to look forward to.

Yeah some of the scenes got comical. Battle scenes were season 7 and 8 GOT cringe. The main characters could fight with their hands tied behind their back and win. Just dumb.

That said, it was perfectly serviceable.

That is where I am.

Watched it last night and the CGI was not distracting even on a 10' wide screen. There were highs and lows in the acting and some actors just seemed like they hadn't figured out how to inhabit their character's skin. The story was a mix of sci-fi tropes but I got a lot of Star Wars and definitely The Fellowship of the Ring. I felt like what was covered needed 8-10 hours to build the universe. I was 10 when I saw A New Hope and maybe it isn't true but I felt like I understand the universe better leaving the theater, maybe not but at least I understood the pieces and how they generally fit.

It just failed to draw me in, while I like some characters I am not invested in any of them. After over 2 hours I don't think I know any of them.

I'll watch part 2 and likely watch part 1 again before watching it but I won't be counting down the days until its release.

So you enjoy a brainless plot, bad action, how these characters randomly and in no interesting way come together, the absurd amount of slow motion, the piss poor acting minus Ed skerin and Sophia Boutella, the insanely predictable ending and the fact that it looked like a late night syfy star wars/Harry potter/ lord of the rings ripoff? Remind me to never trust your movie recommendations. It was low tier at best.

The lead should've been a male and most of the dialogue was pretty cringeworthy but I've seen worse movies.

More like stuff to look out for.

People bitch about Kathleen Kennedy, but to her credit, at least she said no to this Star Worse: Episode None.

My thoughts.

This is something that could have been better fleshed out in a book series than a 2 part movie but I was entertained.

Exactly as I said earlier, dumb pretty action directed at syfy nerds.

every scene is almost like a painting

You’re joking right. The scene I turned it off on was the main girl and Gunner guy talking over a campfire about their plan. It was the worst purple backdrop ever where even a kid could have noticed the green screen. The rocks they were sitting next to looked like some paper mache rock a kid in middle school made and the camp fire wasn’t even real. For the 5 minute scene the fire had the same flame and sent up the same sparks every 2 seconds. It was laughably bad.

I honestly cannot remember the last time I saw a movie with this bad of acting and that cheesy. Maybe the Jupiter Ascending movie but that looked like a Kubrick movie compared to this. It’s kind of blowing my mind people enjoyed this.

definitely The Fellowship of the Ring

Alright man this is too much

Watchmen is a top 5 super hero/comic book/graphic novel movie for me so I will always have a soft spot for Snyder for bringing that to life for me, but of the 41 minutes I watched of Rebel Moon, I’m struggling to think of a single thing I could give it a complement on. Much less say it reminds me of the greatest trilogy of all time.

My wife was really looking forward to this. She likes some bad movies, some that I can’t sit through, but even she was laughing at how bad this was and wanting to turn it off 30 minutes in.

Not a good movie maybe part 2 is better but doubt it. I did like the action scene vs the spider person thing.

A lot of the best stuff was cut in Whedon's justice league which made the snyder cut absolutely worth watching.

But i don't think anybody would want another bowl of this shite.

This movie is every trope imaginable...and really just not very good. Netflix never would allow it...but this movie needed a male lead

I think I said this earlier in the thread but when you watch SC:JL, you genuinely understand why Fisher and Co bitched about it. It’s an insanely better movie. Long AF, but way better.
