There's a Directors cut that's 4 hours long and rated R coming up. They should've just released that instead of this chopped up version. Netflix is just being greedy.

No they should stop giving that hack money to make movies if he can't get an adequate storyline out unless it's 4 hours.

Hes going around saying its a different film. He knows this first version is crap

Zack Snyder gave fans a better idea of what to expect from his director's cut.

"Way more brutal. More bizarre. Verhoeven-esque. More RoboCop than you know... in the way that it uses violence as another character. And there's a lot of sex in it, and sci-fi fantasy."

Dear god…

Sounds like, I don’t know what that sounds like. But I expect a lot of anger

It’s not an "extended cut" of this movie. It’s almost like a different movie. It’s almost a different universe that [the R-rated cut] lives in than this movie. The reason for that is because it’s such a philosophical thing to shoot a director’s cut of a movie before you finish this version. All of my director’s cuts existed as a response to the things that were demanded of me to take out of the theatrical version, right? With [Rebel Moon], that demand was never really made.

We knew it would be a PG-13 movie. In my heart of hearts, I’d always wanted it to be rated R, but you realize this sort of scale and cost of a movie like this, "Well, it’s not 100% responsible to have that be the demand." [They were] like, "What if we said do whatever you want over here? Do the PG-13 version and then go nuts [with the other cut]. We don’t care." That was a thing I’ve never experienced before. [It will be a] really crazy experience for fans, because it’s the fully realized weirdo, heavy metal, bizzaro-land movie.

No idea what all the hate is about. It’s a decent Star Wars story with dark action and no dense history to wade through.

I didn’t know it was going to be a Seven Samurai homage.

Just finished it and I feel the same. I enjoyed it way more than some of you in this thread would have me believe.

Yeah I did not hate it.

I still find enjoyment from a movie that feels like graphic novel. I think nobody can bring that visual experience to the screen better than Snyder.

This I feel like is a combination of people who just hate everything about what Snyder brings to the table and people who just think it’s a bad movie. His darkness, slow motion, lack of concern for complete story structure, his rated r long cuts, his constant need to be “edgy” with loved properties, etc. and this movie has EVERYTHING in it that the Snyder critics absolutely hate on a massive level.

It’s not in the Star Wars universe but it’s obvious this is Snyders Star Wars, so i think people are cranky about that lol.

Just a lot working against this movie. But it has found an audience. good or bad, there will be more rebel moon. And I don’t hate it.

FYI, I’m not saying the only reason it’s getting bad reviews is because of Snyder hate, but yes I do feel that is some what of a factor. And I think people hate Snyder because they hate his work and that’s understandable.
