Well this would be interesting to see them pull this off.

Kidding aside,

I wonder if we finally meet Ramon who gave Axel and possibly Maitland the Herpes Simplex 10 virus.

But what I’m really hoping for is that come present day, Axel’s 1970 crappy blue Chevy Nova became some sort of antique car and was stolen and he’s on the hunt for it.

Or, the guy driving the stolen truck of cigarettes from the Dearborn hijacking in the opening scene is paroled and teams up w/ Foley to capture a now corrupt Serge who has gone on an art embezzling scheme.

And please have a cameo by Damon Wayans peddling bananas and fruit salad on some Beverly Hills corner. That would be amazing.

I love John Landis, but he killed the franchise with #3. I still can’t believe a director not just that talented, but simply competent, could take peak 80s Eddie Murphy and shite out such a huge turd. I’m not sure he could have made a worse movie if that was his goal. Just wild how bad that movie was.

But with the right script and the right director giving Eddie room to be Eddie and cutting up the right pieces in the editing bay, Eddie could still bring it. I just doubt the right script and director will be chosen by the Netflix studio.

Well George Lucas was in it. The affects of cognitive dissonance? Living in denial?

Taggarts back!

I'm holding out hope for them to go Christmas Story Christmas and completely nail what made the original so endearing.

His current Christmas movie isn't inspiring much confidence.

Coming to America 2 should give no one confidence.

CSB - hung out with him for a few months when I first moved to L.A. in 95 when I was hoping to get into the industry. I knew the Location Manager from Lethal Weapon and he invited me to a bar called Residuals where he introduced me to John. He was really cool and we drank beer together quite a few nights.

Disappointed we didn't get the famous Axel Foley laugh in the trailer: 18 sec mark of this video

I don't know. They made it look almost like a Die Hard, a straight up action film.

All they have to do is play "Axel F" a few times and I'm in. See you boys in this place afterward so we can all whine and moan together about how the movie was ruined by Axel's daughter and her computer that solves problems.

No 9ne has lost their charisma like Eddie Murphy did 20+ yrs ago.

It's like he's another person now, or he just flat out decided he would never do his trademark quirks and voices and laughs ever again after he got fuk you money and could do whatever he wanted.

In saying all that, it's a dam shame this film is not being released in the theaters because id go see it opening weekend.

People like Joe Rogan keep begging/wanting him to do a stand-up special again and you just wonder, why? That Eddie Murphy is long gone.
