and i would be ok with that if it was released 6 months apart rather than 6 years apart. thats not a part 2 or part 3 of the same movie if each part is years later

i remember 2 years ago when i stated this movie was dumb because it will be years before part 2 and many more years after that for part 3 of this movie.

Pt. 2 will finish covering Dune. If there is a 3rd it will be for Dune Messiah, not a trilogy.

but the idiots here said i was crazy and part 2 would be out 6 months after part 1

Nobody said that.

well here we are, and im 100% correct again

You have been right on nothing because you somehow don't understand that this was going to be in two parts all along. I don't know why that is so hard to wrap your brain around Honestly, i don't.

as long as you idiots keep paying to see half a movie, they will continue to give you shitty half movies

Again, it's not half movies. It's half of a story. And it's definitely not shitty. I will gladly keep paying to see it done like this on a regular basis if it gets me more movies of this quality compared to the crap that normally gets put out.

Good thing for us that never happened.

Dune Part 1 released in October 2021
Dune Part 2 is being released in March 2024

Part 2 would’ve been released in November of this year if it wasn’t for the strike.

Nothing is being released “6 years apart”.

really, you mean in the thread i made about how stupid it is to have to watch 2 movies years apart just to finish one story? the one im talking about in this very discussion? that one?

it sucks to be you and you showed everyone how dumb you are.

you must have been one of the idiots i was talking about who were saying how wonderful it is that movies now only show the first half of the story, then 10 years later you can watch the ending of that movie you completely forgot about

There is no way to do Dune justice in one movie. The first movie was great and stopped at the natural stopping point with Jessica and Paul joining the Fremen.

Imagine trying to generate this level of criticism for one of the best sci-fy movies to come out in years. It must take a lot of effort.......

Dude, you have already shown in this post that you either 1) can't count to three or 2) don't know what a trilogy is. You keep talking about this being a trilogy and taking 6 years (now you've bumped it to 10 years) when it's not. It couldn't really be any easier to understand.

Do you have the same complaint for the Godfather films? Was Godfather 1 half a movie?

DV can do no wrong in my eyes dude just pumps out epic movies that are done right. The balls to take on a blade runner sequel and make it a masterpiece is a cinematic achievement

I’m already hearing rumblings that WB is so bullish on Villeneuve’s vision for Dune that ‘Part Three’ has already been greenlit with a 2027 release date in mind.

What a disingenuous comparison. Godfather I was based on a Mario Puzo book that was published in 1969. FFC was not interested in the book but needed the money so he agreed to direct. The studio convinced him to make a sequel/prequel by giving him complete control (including the production) so he co-wrote II with Puzo and then shot it. Dune is one book and one story. It pisses me off that they made Dune I without having already greenlit II, but I am glad it is finally here. These two Dune films should have been shot like LOR with both being done together, but I'm not a chicken shite studio exec. How these idiots will greenlight crap like Dial of Destiny but get cold feet over Dune tells a lot about their intelligence.
