4/5 being season ending. Just brutal. All before October.

Growing up I used to think, it was just tribalistic banter to see everyone is out to get us. But in the last 7 years, it has been obscene. Off the top of my head ....

The Will Wade media outrage was THE MOST hypocritical thing I have ever seen in my life by the media. It was scum of the earth level duplicity.

Now the SEC is unfairly targeting us for something everyone else was doing or trying to do. Thankfully the hypocrisy was SO egregious that even the media couldn't spin it against us.

We have won championships in a VERY high profile way. 2019 Football was full of NFL superstars. Multiple Heismans. 2 Baseball National titles with MLB superstar players. Hiring Kim Mulkey and winning a championship there. Having social media stars from other sports.

I think we have just broken peoples brains. I think they know now we have an ELITE group of big 3 sport coaches who are WINNERS and hungry and know what the brand can do. We have a President, AD, Governor who are completely bought in to what LSU sports is and can do for the state when leveraged and supported properly. We also have MONEY. LSU has got so much more of an "IT" factor than schools like Alabama, Ohio St, Georgia - BORING. Only schools that come close or equal are USC and Miami when they are relevant.

I think my fandom has been renewed with all the hate. Ready to obliterate teams on the field. Can't wait to see what unfolds in this new golden era !

As much as I hate them, we should hitch our wagon with the Aggies, I could see them bailing on Texas again. We would be a valuable pair.

I am trying to put a death knell in the SEC. To get to 24 teams.

I'd invite

Texas A&M, LSU, Florida St, Miami (FL)

As a southern division. Puts you in Florida and Texas.

Then tell Notre Dame and Stanford how could you not join? If they still say no. Then pivot to two other BIG12 / ACC schools

The SEC could never compete against it.

See how that goes for the SEC when they sue half of their league under an arbitrary punitive reaction clause made last minute for a situation they got caught with their pants down on.

This has been an EPIC failure in every way. No foresight or proactive vision at all. Every off season is just a disjointed mess. Eligibility, scheduling, playoff. We keep losing.

BIG10 is positioned to expand again. My prediction is with Notre Dame and Miami. They want Florida St and North Carolina too but I think those schools WANT to stay regional. But adding Notre Dame / Miami in the modern era would dwarf our money,

I wish he spent less time lobbying congress, fighting his own team's potential success (albeit an ugly loophole) and led his league better. We are falling behind while peacocking at podiums. Weak.

For all the decades of corruption, favoritism, exploitation, rigging, media manipulation, selective justice ...Every school in some measure has been impacted to some degree by the incompetence / corruption of the NCAA / SEC. Everybody should be relishing at the opportunity to get better while the getting is good. There hasn't been real "integrity" in college sports for 100 years, so spare me on that point. I think uniform enforceable rules across the sport would make the product even better, but until then compete or lose. Because once those games are on TV no one will care about any of this as long as you WIN.

I will NEVER forgive / forget the hypocrisy of the Will Wade witch hunt. Glad we got him back.

The Dark Knight Rises

I love Batman movies. And I still like the movie because it's Batman. But sheesh it's a pretty bad movie. The recent " The Batman " blows TDKR out the water.

I have a feeling this movie is going is going to fall flat really bad.

Almost 40, I have young kids. I do love a lot about Baton Rouge, and it's home. But all my extended fam beyond my folks, are from or live elsewhere. I know places have their ups and downs. I know BR isn't rated super high on the best places to live and I'm really not keen on living anywhere else in the state. But man yesterday shook me, I have a little girl. I can't imagine the grief and anger that family is feeling. Pain / Tragedy can find you anywhere I get that, but my mind works logically and you don't want to overexpose yourself to being unsafe. To be frank Baton Rouge just "feels" so different than it did even 20 years. I know everyone says that as they age but I don't think it's just because I'm older.

Ive pretty much stopped going out at night to places besides restaurants a few years before COVID. It was so expensive and a hassle with young kids. But geez so much of culture hubs / city life has become just miserable or unsafe feeling. Almost creepy and seedy. Nothing feels beautiful, nothing feels happy. My favorite remaining parts of BR are Highland Road Park / LSU lakes, nature helps with that.

But I'm thinking I might not stay. I don't want to raise my kids, thinking every-time they go out when they are older, they are at MORE unneeded risk, than if I were in another place with less crime. It's all so depressing. Our life and home is in a pretty safe bubble. But I am growing tiresome of what's outside.

Is there any feasible hope for BR to improve in the next 5 to 10 years?
