Before this mental midget whale ruins the locker room. I would be shocked if CJ hasn't spoke with Coach Green, and Griffin that point Zion is a joke. Move him no matter what before he ruins this great collection of players. This team does not need him to be successful. TRADE HIM.

Gotta buy low, sell high. Or in this case buy high, double down, and then take whatever you can get.

If you’re an opposing team and you just saw Zion play- how many teams do you think want that guy on their team and will offer us something for him? I keep saying the knicks but I’m pretty sure Thibodeau would hate him playing defense.

Correlation between Pelicans and Bulls team meetings? Lavine (does not play defense) goes out and suddenly the Bulls start rattling off Ws. If you plugged Trey Murphy into the PF spot instead of Zion, the Pels would be better

This has been a horrible day for Zion. I have to imagine he is hearing all of this and wants to do something to make it all stop.

The team is not trading him. Not now and not this season. He is a bad asset right now. I'm expecting an injury to come up any moment and for him to vanish for a couple of months, if not the rest of the year. He cannot handle this type of backlash.

He has no value anymore and we are going to have to ride this out, praying for a redemption story. The window has passed..

What market do you think there is for him?

I actually thought Zion would be good at defense coming into the league or at least try. He’s lazy on defense and a one trick pony on offense. All LeBron did to shut him down was stand outside the box and take the charge when Zion drove. He has no second move like a mid range or outside shot.

Trey is much better in the starting lineup than Zion. I’m just saying.

It’s just sad all round.. and highly typical #pelslife… that this is what we’ve ended up with.

We just can’t get anything right or have anything nice…

I’m still hopeful because Zion is young and super talented, but you’re not wrong about Zion really only having one trick. He bullies to the paint and flips a layup with his left hand…that’s the move.

What’s crazy is it still works a lot, because of his physical gifts, but he clearly hasn’t put in the work a professional should to expand his skills and become a better player. So it’s not just the fitness issue with Zion, there are legitimate concerns about most areas of his commitment to the craft.

He can be a very useful player simply based on his physical gifts but the potential is really uncharted.

Can you imagine Zion with Kobe’s kind of drive to work and dominate? Unfortunately it simply isn’t there…really Zion should have started the game being pissed at the Lebron show and wanting to make that guy realize he needs to retire, but instead it was our young buck that looked like he didn’t belong.

It’s sad but it is what it is. The bright side is we have other good players and the team can win a lot of games with them, and Zion will be a big part of that even if he never really improves much, so long as he can stay available.

He’s garbage. I’ve been telling yall since the Orlando bubble that he’s a mess and we should have been working on a trade then. The Pels are worse off when he’s on the active roster.

Get rid of him and get anything you can.

His effort in the most meaningful game of his professional career warrants desperation. It sucks, but Zion is incapable of consistent effort because he is inconsistent in his preparation, unless you count being consistently dismissive of expert-level professional advice. I hate it, because I had high hopes for BI and Zion, but the story remains the same year after year.

Maybe, just maybe, as much as Z
can make some amazing plays,
he’s really just a good player with
imposing physical traits and ability.
He rarely takes over a game, but he’s a great option to have on the court. He’s not going to be the team leader, but that may not be his role.
He’s not going to be our Lebron
Or MJ. I don’t expect that from him.

Or drowning his sorrow in two racks of ribs and a tub of Blue Bell.

I'm just glad people are starting to see the real player that needs to be in trade talks.

One of our stars actually keeps himself in shape and tries way more often.

The other slowly skips up and down the court and gets by because he can score at will when he tries.

If Zion actually gave fricking effort every night he would be worth keeping. Between injuries and consistently coasting when not, I think the writing is on the wall.

Ok just cause Zion is fat doesn’t excuse the fact that BI had a shite game too and has his own issues. Not like he took over. The dude scored 9 points in that game and shot horribly. I get BI tries- but that doesn’t mean he’s some legit you can count on me every night superstar.

Shooters have bad shooting nights.

Zion isn't a shooter.

When BI fails to score a lot his shot just isn't falling. When Zion fails to score a lot it's because he didn't even try.

To take that further, Zion has absolutely been killing our spacing in quite a few games, and every time we try Zion plus 4 shooters it fails horribly.
