Eye test?… How about stats, data, logic, reason, truth, fact, reality?… The fact of the matter is: Michigan, Washington, Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, AND Oregon’s opponents combined win/loss total is all better than Florida States’. FSU’s best win was against LSU. Alabama’s 4th best team they played was LSU. There are levels to this.
Truth is, Florida State beat a 3-9 Southern Miss handily... Florida State almost lost to 6-6 Boston College with Jordan Travis (31 to 29)… Went to overtime with 8-4 Clemson with Jordan Travis (31 to 24)… Let 6-6 Virginia Tech score 17 unanswered to have a 17 - 22 ball game that made a lot of Florida State fans pucker their b*tth**** and rage endlessly. Yes, the final score was 39 to 17 but there’s patterns here, follow along and pay attention... Florida State beat a 6-6 Syracuse handily... Florida State beat a 7-5 Duke by 18… Florida State beat a 4-8 Wake Forest handily… They could only score 24 on 3-9 Pitt with Jordan Travis (24 to 7)… Took all they could handle from 7-5 Miami but could only score 27 with Jordan Travis (27 to 20)… Were down 13 against 3-8 North Alabama after the first quarter just to remember they were playing an FCS school and could actually start scoring points (58 to 13)… Played with 5-7 Florida and acted like they wanted Florida to win most of the game (24 to 15). Then could only score 16 on Louisville (who cares if you had a 3rd stringer in), Kentucky scored 38 on them to win whilst being ranked 99th in total yards, 94th in Passing Yards per Game, 95th in Rushing Yards per Game, and the 107th team in the country on first downs earned (end of the season stats)... Again, this same Kentucky team beat Florida and scored 33 on them and you barely scored 24 on Florida…
Florida State was left out because of a pathetic season of mediocrity even with their star QB… That 99th-overall Kentucky offense is better in two games than their backups. Why waste a spot in the CFP on a team that everyone knows will die? Not from the eye test, but from the data collected from an entire season of struggling against a 55th Strength of Schedule. That 13 and 0 record means nothing when you struggled with the cupcakes. Michigan absolutely humiliated 9 of the Cupcakes they played, with an arguably worse offense on paper.
Y’all consistently complain about the eye test but all of you show in verbiage and in stance that you only gave FSU the eye test, you didn’t do more, you stopped at the glance, you stopped at the knee jerk outrage. You saw 13 - 0 Power 5 Conference Champ and didn’t do any more research into the subject. I get you hate the precedent, I get you don’t like the tone it set. But Florida State drunkly stumbled through the 55th most difficult schedule in the land and objectively almost gave it away more times than Michigan, Washington, Texas, Alabama, or even Georgia did. AND against lesser opponents like a Group of 5 Team would. You may say they didn’t, and that’s all that matters. You and I both know that’s bull. If you pathetically barely escape trash all season, you’re only slightly better than trash. If you perform poorly against trash all season, you’re only slightly better than trash. The choice was right, mediocrity got left at the alter. Thanks for attending my TedTalk, frick Alabama, and frick Florida State. Go Tigers.

That’s simply not true. LSU was ranked second in the BCS, second in the AP, and second in the Coaches. OU was first in the BCS, USC was first in the AP and the Coaches Poll. IOW: The Associated Press said the game should have been USC vs LSU.
Yes, I recall the bigger issue being OU lost to KSU 35-7 in the big 12 title game.

Bama and Texas have rational and reasonable arguments for getting in.
Both had rational arguments for being the 4th team, with Texas having the better argument due to their head to head win.
Let’s not pretend that this is anything other than Bama bias once again rearing its head, just like it did with their undeserved and unearned free passes in 2011, 2017 and 2020.

Doug Flutie. He's listed as 5'10. I'm 5'-10" and have met Flutie. I was talking down to him. I'm thinking he was more like 5'-8".

everybody in the media said it should have been USC and OU before that game happened.
That’s not true, LSU was #2 in both human polls. The “media” thought the game should have been USC and LSU

Bias is earned. It starts with the best recruiting classes every year. It continues with the BEST conference in America and it's never close. Bias is also given when you have to fight it out in the most competitive division in college football.
Bias is also earned and given when BAMA has been number one sometime during the year for 15 years in a row, winning 6 NCs. No one in college football can come close to this ALABAMA program in modern history. Bias is just another term for the BEST.

Yet you still have to beg your way into the playoffs every other year. LOLOLOLOL

3 of which you wouldn't have if your program was any other program.
Bias, technically, is NOT earned, by definition, thus why it is called BIAS.
I don't blame Bama fans or the media for this hubris. I know people in real life that don't earn half of what they have either, and they are just as ignorant and arrogant. Comes with the territory when you are entitled.

Bias is an emotional predisposition toward an act or personal in general.
Congrats! I'd say you still qualify as idiot boy in your redneck analysis.
