We get yearly bonuses based off of profits. I will be getting nothing this year like last year. We’re breaking even as a company.
But the previous four years of bonuses allowed me to pay off my house so I ain’t mad.

Will receive a little extra income this week and somewhere around 10-15% of base income in February. They call it a bonus, I call it my fricking salary because it is earned like every other penny. They ain't giving away anything and I wouldn't take it if they did. Employers LOVE to pretend as if they are tossing their employees a bone...they ain't...every penny is earned.

Mine promised us we were getting "substantial raises" a couple months ago.

Then said they'd be on next paycheck.

Then next pay period.

Then we got an email that finance had to reevaluate and they would be evaluating each individual worker, to determine the raise.

Then it would be early first quarter 2024.

Then had the audacity to send us a happy thanksgiving email.

I've got my resume ready and applications in to other companies

I started a new position. Three weeks in I got a $1,000 bonus. Not really for Christmas though. The founder (and still Chairman of the board) reached into his own pocket and distributed $5 million based on tenure. Those here over 10 years got $10K out of the blue.

I worked at plant that made signs when I was 18. Our Christmas bonus that year was a $10 gift card at Dodges Chicken.

Getting one by Friday. They call it a Christmas bonus but it's just an advance on the annual bonus we get next year.

Yes. works out to be .5% of my pay. but the whole company gets the same dollar amount, so some of the staff get 2.5% of their pay. Doesn't seem too fair, but better than nothing.

Yes. Quarterly bonus will be less (thanks Biden) but still getting company wide Christmas bonus. Was $1000 all employees last year and $400 this year. Gift Card so tax free! Thankful for anything tbh.

We are getting golden truck nuts this year. I think they skipped on the gold and used some cheap spray painted crap from China.

What a shite take. I can tell that you've never owned or ran a business before. Unless your contract/offer letter indicated that 10-15% as a guarantee, it absolutely is a bonus.

Third year with the Company:
1st year $2500
2nd year $5000
Now that I'm Corporate, I have no idea what to expect.

Did get a $100 Gift Card for Thanksgiving though.

Nope. Our bonuses are tied to profit/performance, so we get them in February after the numbers are crunched.

A little Christmas bonus would be nice.
