Finally watched on Disney plus
The story itself wasn’t a bad idea but the female lead and her little sidekick had absolutely no chemistry with Indiana Jones
Phoebe Waller bridge was a horrible casting choice

It was entertaining. No more. No less.

Watched a couple days ago on Disney+. I liked it, but it left a lot to be desired. I think the only reason I still liked it was pure nostalgia. Definitely worse than Kingdom of Crystal Skulls IMO.

Was that the one with Shia, because that was terrible.

I thought the opposite, it wasn't great by any means. But entertaining enough.

We watched about an hour and half of it tonight, we'll finish it later. So far, it's pretty boring, not a whole lot to like about it.

Was much much much better than Crystal Skull, but didn't think this one was great either.

Agreed. Could have used more women who were gay.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I actually liked it. Not a great movie. Drags in spots, action scenes are a tad overlong… but it wasn’t terrible. I give it a B-.

And could’ve made it more lame.

Watched this weekend and not quite as bad as I was expecting

The Indy universe has gotten a little too big for me. In one corner you have the Abrahamic God. In another corner you have Hindu gods. In another corner you have alien visitors. In another corner you have time travel.
How does all that shite coexist?
Raiders and Crusade are awesome. If done well, a third movie based on the Holy Lance would have rounded out a nice trilogy.

I thought it was ok. Was kinda hoping he would have stayed in the past and when the girl got back to the future she would have found Indiana Jones tomb and a bunch of writings of the things he experienced. Thought that would have finished the story out nice.
After watching it, I thought of another way to finish out Indiana's story and create a new. Bare with me, alittle long.
Movie opens up with a guy walking into the college, never seeing his front. Walks in to meet Indiana in his closet/office and starts talking to Indiana about being his replacement at the school. Then he asks him about all his adventures and Indiana says, "let me tell you a story I've never told anyone." Then it goes into the movie about the story, -insert new plot-, never showing the new guy again. After the story is told Indiana looks at his watch and says it's time for him to go. They both walk out the front of the school and Short Round is waiting out by a car. Opens the car door and says "Time to go Dr. Jones" Indiana looks back at the guy and says something like "fortune and glory, good luck kid" and puts his hat on the guy. Camera pans around to find -insert which ever actor you think would be best, my thoughts was Bradley Cooper or Chris Pratt.
Now you have a new hero to continue the stories under a new title or name. Idk, Just think it would have sent Indiana off with alittle more dignity.

You forgot Christianity. Never thought of that but you have a point.

Thought it was pretty good, but there is NO WAY the bad guy survives his injuries at the end of the WWII scene.

Life is too short to watch crap and be mildly surprised it wasn't quite as crappy as you originally thought.

I dont know how both these things are true

I agree with that. I watched it the other night. Was not the best ( Last Crusade). Slightly better than Temple of Doom. The actress and the character seemed an odd choice to pair with Indy.

I thought it was nostalgic and a neat concept of Time travel.
The acting and writing left a lot to be desired but I feel like it wasn't detrimental to the film's entertainment value.
