I love Willie Fritz but he should have just left in the middle of the week. Handled this the worst way possible

Houston AD is not going to hire a 64 year old.
Tulane is going to hire LSU OC to replace Fritz.

You're trolling but not a chance Tulane is going to be willing to pay anyone on LSU's staff more than what LSU is already paying them. Plus Denbrock has no interest in being a HC.

LSU ought to look at our DC if they’re in the market. Heck, we ought to look at him if we’re not gonna go out there and buy a sitting head coach.

Yea we should be taking a long look at him

First of all, you can shut the frick up
Secondly, Willie apparently made his decision late last night. Tulane thought they could keep him but it went the other way

I'm surprised he didn't get a bite from a bigger program. It's amazing what he's accomplished at Tulane.
Houston's entry into the Big 12 makes them cash rich now but Fitz really left because his grand kids and daughters are in Houston.

I stand corrected. Still, I would not want to lock up a lot of money on a 64-65 year old coach.

I can think of very few worse culture fits

Is this true, Tulane fans? Hard to believe.

Probably wanted a low buyout in his contract and Tulane was in no position to deny him.

This. I swear the ignorance by people especially Tulane fans who believes everything they read.
Fritz would have been in Houston last year if the job opened. He probably figured Dana wouldn't right the ship so when Dana got fired it wouldn't be difficult to get there.
