Wat? 395 yards and 3 touchdowns is nothing spectacular?

When our QB's AVERAGE game this year is 417 yards and 4.2 TD's, am i really supposed to believe 390 and 3 total is spectacular ?

JD going for 600 and 5 TD's vs Florida was spectacular

Would seal the heisman but let’s not forget Florida is 5-6.

It can’t be mentioned enough Nix went up against the 63rd statistically ranked pass defense tonight and Daniels will be facing the 16th statistically ranked pass defense tomorrow and 8 overall in A&M.

Yep. Could have easily had 4 but they gave the ball off from the 1. Oregon State didn’t give them a fight

This is pretty much the best result we could have realistically hoped for. Nothing spectacular. Nothing more than a solid day from Nix.

The Ball is absolutely in JD's court right now. Come out tomorrow and put on a damn show. Do exactly what youve done all season. and that fricking trophy is YOURS. Seize the opportunity.

Nix had a good game and will shoot up boards tonight and early tomorrow morning.

They got their first top 25 win on the season based on current rankings. If they beat Washington, they will have 2 and 1 top 10 win. They will have played two games vs top 10 competition (UW twice).

LSU played 3 top 12 on the road and another top 5 at a roadesque neutral site with FSU in Orlando.

There is a reason the schedule was significantly different.

In the end, even with the extra game, Daniels will have played the harder schedule and likely put up the better numbers unless he bombs tomorrow.

But... and it's a BIG but... Oregon BEAT a good OSU team 31-7. The game was never close.

Oregon plays a solid defense limiting QB DJ Uiangalelei to minimal effectiveness. We have many on the Rant who believe Texas A&M will punish LSU tomorrow, with their own unheralded QB looking like an All-American rock star.

Nobody cares what JD stats are playing for the Texas bowl.

Bo Nix is playing a week from now on national television and fighting to get his team to the CFP.

LSU and JD are going to be fighting to get a $100 Best Buy gift card with their bowl swag bag.

Bo made 90% of his throws without. 10 yards of the line of scrimmage or behind it. His numbers are built on YAC. Maybe I am biased, but JD5 will be picked ahead of him in the NFL draft.

The LSU football department or LSU media or whoever puts together the weekly hype videos should make a two minute spot highlighting the spectacular plays of JD5, and run three or four spots during the broadcast of the championship games next weekend so he is “not forgotten” while Nix completes another 5 yard pass or one behind the LOS

Agreed but it's a little more complicated than that as Bo Nix will have the opportunity to ball out in the Pac 12 championship.

Opportunity to have dud as well. Against Colorado, Utah, Washington State and Hawaii, all close games, his passing yardage was in the 200s.

It seems like Nix and Daniels are viewed as equals by the voters. Regardless of what Daniels does tomorrow, Nix will play in the PAC championship and put up gaudy numbers against a terrible defense and the voters will lose their mind. Their deciding factor will be "playing in games that mattered"

Exactly. If voters were going by stats then this thing would be over. Regardless of the Pac 12 championship, that would be a rap. But stats are only a big deal if they support and validate the arguments for that year's "Chosen One".

The Pac 12 has been the talk of the country since before the season even started. The Pac 12 championship game is basically the first playoff game this year and everyone will be watching. The stakes couldn't be higher. The QB for the winning team will probably win the Hesiman. E

Bo Nix had 398 total yards and 3 TDs yesterday

That Brings his season total yards to 4,065 yards and 43 TDs.

That’s 526 yards and 3 TDs less than Jayden Daniels.

Jayden Daniels plays today!

He was playing their biggest rival who happened to be #16 and has a good defense.
