Definitely not a WR, how is Landon Ibieta progressing I heard he is extremely fast?

looking at those 100 meter times makes me think about Kaleb Jackson rb posting a faster time than all of those guys at 10.65. so much to look forward to. Leonard Fournette ran a 10.68 btw

I think Lacy could be...but he needs to get his 10000 catches in before fall camp....too many drops!

If Chris Hilton is going against other teams’ number 1 cb week in and week out as our wr1, it’ll be a long year on offense

Who? Ooohhh yeah him. Jordan's brother. Yeah you're right we all completely forgot he had a great season that year.

We need a CEH type back who can catch, spin and run.

Hopefully Lacy quits being Edward Scissorhands and Hilton’s legs quit going numb when he touches the ball. Fix those two things and they will have huge years.

I would love it Sampson ended up being that dude. I think Hilton has it in him to be that guy but I don’t think he can stay healthy long enough to be that guy.

We will be running the rock more, but i expect Taylor to get more looks this year like his freshman year and not rely on the WRs as much.
Hilton - Deep , backup Sampson
Lacy - WR1 intermediate, backup Brown
Anderson - slot routes, Nabor routes but dont expect production the same.
Freshman - Wasn't it Parker progressing nicely in camp?
I think we will be fine.

Big 3. Hilton, Sampson, Lacy. Slot Anderson

I mean I’m not saying he can’t but I think he is what he is at this point
Has good speed but hands are not great and I just don’t see the alpha wr1 in him

UTSA and South Fla. had a guys that will probably transfer portal this year!

I expect it to be Lacy.
He has that thing you see periodically where a player makes difficult catches and has baffling drops on easy catches. Brandon LaFell had that initially and even Justin Jefferson in 2018 had that to a degree especially early in the season. That seems to me to indicate a lack of concentration on the easy catches, basically shifting his focus off the catch and onto getting upfield before he has secured the catch. That is fixable and has been better this season, IMO, just still needs improvemnet.

Anderson is not a wr1 neither are Hilton and Lacy

No one knows. The only guys we’ve really seen are Hilton and Lacy. Anderson hasn’t popped yet. The young guys haven’t seen much game time and haven’t looked great when we’ve seen them on the field.

Marshall was leading the nation in TDs until his injury. Insane WR room that year.
To the original question, a #1 WR needs to be a good route runner that can get separation.. the other part is that your #1 needs to be on the same page as your QB. Their timing needs to be perfect, along with how they read defenses. Not just a speed guy like has been said in this thread.
My vote…Sheppard from Vandy. He has been a legit #1 on a bad team.
