As a parent, I pray not only for your child and to recover, but also for you and your wife’s mental and emotion strength. Stay strong through the ups and downs through this and have faith.
A family friend went through something like this and docs said he’d never make it through the night…. He did. Docs said he’d never make it to 4. He did. He’s now in college fighting again. Just keep having faith.

One way or another your daughter will not remember this.
She doesn't know or understand pain.
To her this will have never happened and it will only live in your memory.

I get what you are trying to say here, but it's being interpreted differently. I think what bothers the parents more is what the future holds.

It’s been a while since I prayed the, Our Father.
I’m praying for you, your wife, your daughter, and the healthcare professionals taking care of her.

Our father who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name,
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven,
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us,
Lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil,
Amen

Father, please give strength and comfort to this family in their time of need.

We spent time in the NICU with our youngest. This board was literally the only support we had as our family was thousands of miles away (thanks for that OT). I am so sorry for what you and your family are enduring. Premature infants are an enigma. They surprise even the most hardened health care professionals. I hope the outcome for your daughter surprises them all.

I hope everything works out for your brother. This is a real tough situation. My son coded when he was 2 weeks old and they brought him back after a few minutes. No signs of brain damages. I truly hope the same for your daughter.

Sadly, his daughter died. There’s another thread posted after this one.

He said he wasnt religious and didnt believe god had any affect on outcomes here. I agree with him and thought he would want to hear something sensible instead of being told its "gods plan".
I realize it isnt a popular opinion but i didn't post it for upvotes.

I was born at 26 weeks

I am sorry for your loss

My son was born healthy last July of 22, and he is my world

I cannot imagine your pain, it makes me think about what my father was feeling when I was born
