You hear almost every Democrat utter their opponents are a "Threat to our democracy " with absolutely no explanation.
When will Republicans throw it back in their faces with its is, in fact, Democrats who want to end "democracy" with authoritarian government control?

Raw unfiltered democracy destroys freedom.

These idiots would probably be surprised to learn the the word "democracy" does not appear in the Declaration of Independence nor the Constitution of the United States.

The founders were concerned with freedom and liberty, not democracy.
Democracy is a technique that may or may not help with the goal of freedom, depending on how it's implemented.

The GOP can’t bold faced lie and have the press cover for them like the Dems.

They should start saying “their democracy,” not your/American democracy. They mean their power

It literally makes no sense that people having the ability to elect someone to represent them being a threat to democracy. That is the definition of democracy.
So it’s their power, democrats, “their democracy” that is threatened by republican candidates being elected. Your power as a people is a threat to their power

If the republicans weren't compromised they would simply respond back with the truth. We're a republic, not a democracy.

Easy to counter - we're not a democracy.

It is easy to counter. You say "how so?", "explain what that even means.", "Do you even know what that means?", "do you know what type of government America is?".

democracy is nothing more then mob rule, 2 lions and 1 zebra vote on what to have for lunch, 2-1 the zebra is lunch, that's a democracy.
This is why our founding fathers gave us a Republic, in a Republic the zebra has rights and couldn't be the lunch no matter how many lions voted, mob rule be damned

Hamas is a treat to Democracy. Putin is a threat to Democracy. MAGA is a threat to Democracy. When everything is a threat to Democracy nothing is a threat to Democracy.

I’ll counter it easily…we’re not even a democracy. That’s mob rule. We are a Constitutional Republic so there’s no democracy to threaten.

Because they're not Republicans and they're not trying to counter it. They're the GOOe, the controlled opposition wing of the Establishment Uniparty.

The easiest and fastest "mic-drop" rebuttal is that we're a Constitutional Republic, not a Democracy. Yet, even Republican candidates Trump, Desantis, Haley, Pence, etc. all still call us a "Democracy" all the time, without fail.

Speak a lie enough times and it becomes truth.

They just need to refer to them as Communist Groomers. Let them call attention to that.

"The Communist Groomers on the other side of the aisle are no different than their Hitler supporting constituency that are anti-American"

No holds barred time brothas...

Everybody is all wet.

We claim of roots were founded in Ancient Greece & Rome

Ben Franklin got most of what we formed with by cribbing the way the Indian Nations were set up. Knowing that would not go over well in a New World with ever arriving Europeans, he made it more tasteful by using Greece and Rome.

What’s a threat to our republic, not democracy, is people who introduce knee jerk reactions with phrases like “threat to our democracy”.

How are properly elected representatives a threat to democracy... They are representing the people that elected them.... Unless Hakeem and Dems are saying that those elections were fraudulent??? That would be an interesting concept

WTF? Trump wanted to put the military in charge to carry out his orders. That’s pretty damned authoritarian.
