I’m thinking closer to this.

Precisely and there hasn’t been a single office that has an answer as to why they didn’t vote for Jordan. None of them have released public statements, most won’t even answer their phones at the DC offices. It’s painfully obvious they are just trying to game for more concessions.
Edit- Ken Buck’s office said he didn’t vote for Jordan because of disagreements surrounding the legitimacy of the 2020 election. Are you kidding me?

Did all Dems vote Hakeem the socialist?

Are these buttheads trying to destroy the Republican party? Who votes for someone that is not even running. They are supposed to be grownups, not teenagers mad at someone because of something.

How many votes did Jordan get on the last vote?

Of course they did. Did you hear the speech for his nomination? They all repeated the mantra “he said no” in unison. Sounded extremely cultish or like I was in a Catholic Church or something.

The Hill
Part of Aguilar’s (D-CA) Hakeem Jeffries nomination speech today included Aguilar repeating the refrain “He said no” with regard to Jordan’s previous votes:
quote:
Aguilar also took aim at Jordan for voting no on a series of legislative action, including approving natural disaster relief in states after they were ravaged by hurricanes and wildfires. When listing out examples of what legislative action Jordan opposed, some Democrats appeared to join in chorus, saying “he said no” along with Aguilar.
“When the Mississippi River floods devastated the south and communities across state lines needed Congress to act, he said no,” he said. “When our veterans were suffering from disease and dying as a result of their service to our country and Congress passed a bipartisan solution, he said no.”

Speaker of the GOP clown car! They are demonstrating to the world that they have no business running the House. They were elected to represent their constituents, not throw kindergarten style temper tantrums. We will all pay the price in November, 2024 when these clowns lose the House to the Socialists.

Yes. In unison and like always.

The votes for McCarthy and Scalise are insane.
Now that makes the GOP look like real morons.

Dems 212 for 212
It would be so much easier to be a Dem. NPC hiveminds that work toward a common goal, power. No fricks given.

The vote for Zeldin is even more ludicrous.
