I don't disagree. But taking the high road is why "Republicans" can't get shite done in DC.

Unlike Democrats, Republicans refuse to stick together. Even if not all Dems agree on every issue, they always vote like they do. Every time.

If AOC were up for speaker, 100% of Dems would vote for her, even if many didn't like her. Republicans just refuse to operate the way Dems do, which is why Dems constantly destroy them and get what they want.

And yet, 2/3rds of this board cheers on the GOP when they act like this, as if this is how they are SUPPOSED to act.

It's insane.

I think this officially means Jeffries is the biggest loser in House history. Has now lost more Speaker votes than any congressman in history!!!

Congrats Hakeem! You have now lost more than anyone else in history whose gotten at least 1 vote

It took 133 ballots in 1855.

Neither is applying purity tests.

Just like most stuff, this stunt will backfire.

I mean, it's not like absent "this stunt" we would have just been humming along swimmingly.

Sometimes the devil you know is better than the ones you dont.

Political stunts have high risks that the politicians who support them rarely pay.

And sometimes the status quo needs to be shaken up, if not completely upended.

I'm willing to take my chances at this point.

Who would’ve thought that Jordan is less popular than McCarthy?

There weren’t even 20 votes to oust McCarthy

The reality is that Jordan is a lightweight opportunist. He’s not bright.

That’s your opinion; doesn’t make it reality.

They are all opportunists.

I challenge you to name one that's not.
