A grizzly bear attacked and killed two people in Banff National Park west of Sundre, Alta., on Friday night, Parks Canada says.

The people who died were husband and wife, according to Kim Titchener, the founder of Bear Safety and More, who is a friend of the family. The couple's dog, who was with them at the time, was also killed.

This makes my blood boil. Let's kill the nature because it's doing nature again. They put themselves in the situation. FAFO.

Leave the bears alone. It's their habitat

Not exactly a ringing endorsement there.

This is tragic, I'll say that. Tough way to go.

However, these stories always make me think of the great, underrated comedic movie "Grizzly Man" and I laugh, and I laugh, and I laugh.

It appears TulaneLSU's disdain of bears is well founded.

Got damn that is a terrible way to go. It wasn't instant by any stretch of the imagination. Two of them had to watch one of them get mauled first, and then 1 the other, and so on. That's rough.

A caliber that starts in 4 is the minimum. It only would have pissed off the bear, but at least it would have noticed.

Next up, a Trudeau conference about how bears are marginalized.
