hit him right in the hands. It should’ve been caught.
The defense raked his arms as he was catching it. Nabers might be our only receiver who could have caught that.

It would have been a tough catch. I don’t blame the kid for not catching that. It was a rocket (fantastic throw by Daniels); he barely got his hands there; and his arm was contacted by defenders. He could have caught it. I’m sure he is kicking himself for missing it. I think that’s a 30% ball. Folks who say he 100% should have caught it don’t understand what they saw.

Maybe he would have caught it if JD threw it a little harder when he was open

Dude, JD had to run for his life and then threw a ball that could have been caught. Blaming him for anything is dumb

What’s worse is the notion, repeated by some posters in this thread that “it is not why we lost”.
I have not seen the replay, but a number of folks report they have, that the ball hit his hands and could have or should have been caught.
If so, it IS the reason we lost, although we had many other opportunities to win ( and despite the fact House should be fired).

It was a good enough pass. That ball should only go to WR 1 or 2 though.

Yes, definitely hit him in the hands. Correct me if I'm wrong, but to me it did look like the defensive back got his hands on the ball.

Perfectly thrown pass that Hilton should have caught for the winning touchdown.

He was high-pointing and the ball barely hit his fingertips (was thrown high)

Would've been a miracle catch IMO...

Never heard someone's palm called their fingertip before. Must be something new you kids do.

Both hands. The ball was catch-able. If it was 6" higher he would be the only one able to catch it.

Wow, Lacy was going to be wide-arse open in another second, which JD had.

Now I know that’s not who you want to be throwing to there but he was coming across uncovered.

Maybe, but I think that was because the coverage was collapsing when the ball was in the air. If he had not yet released the ball, I think Lacy is not as open. The flip side is I think Lacy has been better on difficult or contested throws because it forces him to concentrate on the catch rather than thinking about anything else like running.

He was wide open after all the defenders converged on Hilton. Geez

Needed a pump fake and then the throw. JD was very accurate the whole game.

Bull shite. Pass was on the money.

Pass was on the money but Hilton's right hand was raked at the point of catch. I went back to look at it on the replay on WatchEspn and the DB hit right hand/arm simutaneous to the ball arriving.

It is at 2:55:23 on the replay.

Tadarsalad. That didn't lose the game for us. Our defense lost the game

That pass gave them a decent chance to win it, but had nothing to do with why the lost it.

Both defenses were absolute arse - when you have the ball last in that kind of game you have to make it count.

The two false starts were so inexcusable - imagine 2 plays from the 16
