ooking ahead at Colorado’s schedule and it’s not looking good for them.

Locked Losses UCLA Oregon State Washington State Utah Likely Losses Arizona State Arizona

Maybe they get a win against one of those Arizona teams, then that only leaves one win over Stanford. Absolute best case scenario they finish the season 5-7

Disagree, I think they win the next two and could finish with as many as 7 wins

You chose to intentionally leave out the 2nd part of my question, so that confirms you are in denial.

If you saw the end of this game Colorado’s play calling game as atrocious. Running plays with no timeouts and down 2 touchdowns.

It might be a loss, but that’s a nationally televised game you can build on.

To be fair, Deion was running his mouth after a single game. He brought a lot of it on himself.

Meh. It was a nationally televised game against a ranked opponent. They were 20+ point dogs and both of his sons and his star player put on a show. It was the first game since multiple national pundits made comments that they were possibly the worst team/roster in fbs.

If his shite talk after that triggers someone they are incredibly soft.

Anyone who honestly thought Colorado was a title contender after the first 2 weeks is a fricking idiot

This. This second half is something you can build on if you're Sanders. In fact, they're doing better than anyone thought they'd do and he's not done bringing players (and better coaches in) to Boulder.

On a side note, it's unreal to me how many people wanted to throw dirt on Sanders after the 1st half of the 5th game in a massive rebuild. I swear, I wonder if this board isn't populated by overdramatic 8th grade girls.

Same people saying this on here are now saying “nobody expected Colorado to win more than 6 this year!”

first it was: championship contender

then it was: well, a bowl game for sure, that would be a huge turnaround

now: hmmmm, well 3 win season is still a tremendous improvement!!

On this board first it was “Colorado wont win a game and his son isn’t D1 caliber”

Then it was “well Colorado didn’t cover the spread against Colorado St.”

He took a program that was effectively dormant and got them competitive in short order, even if they aren’t beating top 25 teams immediately.

Are they title material or will they win the PAC 12 this year? No. But this may be one of their better seasons since joining the league and it comes after clearing the roster of dozens of scholarship players from the prior season.
