Is anyone else having trouble getting pain medication?

I have called every drugstore in the South. Nobody has anything. They claim it is on back order.

Yes. I live near Atlanta and my mother needs Hydrocodone 7.5 for her arthritis and I have had a lot of trouble getting it. One pharmacist said that the 7.5 is the only ones they aren't getting so we're switching her to the 5s because the pharmacies are having no trouble getting them in and she can just take 1 and half to get 7.5.

Wife is a pharmacist. You are not alone. Norco 10s are no where to be seen and others are drying up fast. Causing them a lot of headaches with customers.

I had a procedure done yesterday and my surgeon explained the shortage issue. That was post op so I was pretty out of it and don't remember the facts. My pain meds were not available through my pharmacy. He was able to get them through the hospital pharmacy. Have not touched them.
