I know a Jewish girl who grew up in New Orleans and spent a couple semesters at Indiana, no idea why that is a school of choice for them

I stopped in Columbia to get the booze for our Lake Keowee trip and was talking to some gamecocks. They said the cockabooses are overrated and the parking lot tailgate is where it’s at.

I’ve only been to tOSU from the big 10 but your description is on point, so the rest of the list is probably accurate as well. I’d love to visit some of these one day.

Michigan and Wisconsin have a boatload who come from the north Chicago burbs and the east coast. If you want a big time athletics program and good academics there’s not a lot of options around there outside of PSU.

This is a fair list and probably pretty close to being accurate. The only thing i would say about Ohio Stadium...is when it's a BIG game...the atmosphere is second to none. Ohio State vs USC in Ohio Stadium was absolutely deafening!! But its fair to say when its a G5 opponent, it can be pretty tame...but i guess it's like that everywhere. Solid list.

would love for LSU to have a home and home with Penn St, two of the best stadiums in the country

I struggled a bit with Nebraska or Ohio St at #2 for sure.

Penn State gets a knock against it now that Mad Mex is out of business.

I'm not a "pom-pom" guy, or a huge fan of the coordinated dress code (maybe because LSU has NEVER been able to pull that off) but the white-out at Penn State is really cool from afar. Damn near everyone is wearing white and seeing the pom-poms shake in unison makes the stadium feel more "alive".

Maybe its something the rest of the nation already knows but we don't recognize because we are in SEC country, but the Ohio State band is awesome. It's really cool to see how much it means to the band members who are chosen to "dot the I".

Wisconsin just looks like a great time (style of play on the field aside). Nice people who like to drink beer and have a good time. Would love to catch an early fall big game there.

I agree with this- PSU, OSU, Nebraska, Wisky are all wild for big games and would put them up against any stadium in the country.

Fox’s Big Noon matchups hurt more than help the big game atmosphere. PSU’s day game whiteouts just don’t have the same juice as a night game.

Really? I wasn’t expecting that. I guess I assumed it would be Maryland or maybe Wisconsin, Minnesota, or Nebraska?

i'd guess penn state but i love red heads.

Wisconsin women have a similar problem as LSU women, they drink too much beer. Not to say LSU doesn't have hot women but it is something i noticed when i'd go to say a TCU bar vs freds or bogie's

all vodka waters (and coke) at TCU

Assuming we don't continue to play like shite, that Halloween weekend night game against OSU should be about as good as as the atmosphere gets in Madtown.

ETA: The style of play should look very different from Badger teams of the past 30 years. The fullback is now a thing of the past

First time I'm hearing that. That's a shame- it's still open in Pittsburgh though

Nice thread by OP

absolutely no place on the planet for a big game like Death Valley……with the average game there not nearly the experience it once was I’m disappointed to admit.

Just curious as to why this is? I’ve heard this online and from a buddy who’s an Arkansas fan who’s been there. Always wanted to see a game at Death Valley…

It cannot be repeated enough just how shitty of an experience Northwestern's stadium is, whether full or not. Worst Power 5 stadium experience I've ever had by far. Restrooms, concessions, ticketing, sight lines, etc. Just abysmal.

Never been to alot of Big 10 country, but living in a big tourist area... Ive noticed girls in IU stuff (or with IU stuff wearing dudes) are hotter than average, especially out the midwest.

I have a fondness in my heart from when I was younger watching the 12:00 ESPN2 game in Evanston when it was 30°. There always seemed to be shenanigans in those games.
