Dude reps LSU EVERY year. Today he said the FSU loss was the best thing for us and that we would look like the LSU expected going forward.

With all due respect, Kirk use to throw constant shade during the Miles year. He has definitely changed his tune recently and has become as positive on LSU as any talking head.

People don’t want to hear it, but this offense has best ever potential.

Look at pure numbers. Not the names.

I remember the UF game 2019. Burrow dropped a dime to Jefferson on the sideline. I said that’s an NFL throw to the old timer next to me.

He responded “well it was a little late”

Yeah. Look how that turned out. The season was happening and some didn’t realize it yet.

Not saying this is 2019, but the offense can put up similar numbers.

It’s a low bar, but Kirk is the best and most objective college football analyst today.

I agree the FSU loss was a wake up call

I don’t agree with that. Now we have almost no room for error.

He did leak the Miles to Michigan. We could've had the perfect year, win NC and the coach leave.

Kirk is partly responsible for the Tigers being placed in the 2007 BCS national championship game. He openly and unapologetically advocated for us. Much respect. You haters have no memory. Either that or you are young and stupid.

I don’t really feel Herbstreit is pro or anti LSU. I enjoy games when he’s on the call. In this new era of the RG3’s of the world calling games,Kirk is a breath of fresh air.

Does he? I think Herbie is the most objective guy in the sport. He’s the one guy that had to move from his home state because his alma mater said he wasn’t homer enough.

I think he got a legit source about miles to Michigan and LSU matched so of course les was all “I was never leavin!”

That probably put a bad taste in his mouth. The trend of ‘let’s start rumors of going to another school every time my contract is up’ wasn’t as prevalent when that happened so I think he had more issue with les than LSU. He’s been complementary of LSU since miles left.

Kirk definitely does not get a lot of hate here anymore. Almost all of us have started to respect him because he’s not that same guy spouting bull shite in 2007.

I would pay a not insignificant amount of money for Herbie to call every single one of our games. He’s easily the best in the business, and has been for years. Plus, contrary to what some jackasses think, he respects LSU. Hearing the joy in his voice on the plane back after the Bama game last year was fricking awesome. Dude loves college football at its best.
