What good talk radio do they have on Sirius now? Just curious. Haven’t been on in years. I just found the music content to get old and kind of repetitive if you listened to one station like I usually did.

$8.49/month ($6.99 plus fees) on a permanent rate
I got tired of threatening to cancel each year to get a discount so about 3 years ago I told them I was done for that exact reason. They locked me into a permanent rate of 19.99 (total) for 3 vehicles and a boat plus I can transfer the rate each time I replace a vehicle.

I like it for NBC Sports Radio- Dan Patrick in the morning, and until recently, Rich Eisen in the afternoon.
The music selection is much better than terrestrial radio- maybe for the simple reason that there are more channels, and Lithium is still great for long trips- my wife and I rarely have to change the channel, even on a 8-10 hour trip. She also really likes Dave Matthews Radio. We had Spotify for several years through wife's business, but I never felt the need to make the switch, and I can do it all on the radio instead of having to pick up my phone to change the song or station.

You usually don't even have to threaten to cancel with them. If you just say hey I like my current plan but want to pay less they usually just take care of it.
They give me a yearly promo for the platinum package for $10/month and if I forget to talk to them when it expires they just give it to me again and credit my account for the amount I already paid.
It's not like cable companies that you have to threaten to leave because let's face it, there isn't another satellite radio company to switch to.

Being told that is for 2015 or older vehicle. Do you have that deal on something newer?

We had that deal on my wife's last car- I think I ended up getting 5 years for $150. I was really sad to have to cancel it (non-transferrable), but they did refund the unused subscription amount.

Their DJ's are God awful
Mike Terry on Prime Country is the best DJ on the entire network. He is a pro w/great pipes. He is also the voice of the Opry.
Madison is also really good. She'd also get it.

Sirius XM Renewal
Im always surprised when I hear of people other than truckers that subscribe to SXM. Aside from the sports networks like MLB Radio I just don't see the appeal. Their DJ's are God awful and their music quality is pretty bad.
Sunday morning coming down on the porch looking at the water and some Yacht Rock or Bakersfield Beat is my jam.

There have been multiple threads on XM renewal but this is the first one I can recall where you can get the promo rate permanently.....thank you

The chat was super easy and took about 15 minutes, and now I (hopefully) won't have to set a reminder to do this again in a few months
my wife tells them $5/mo. take it or leave it, they always take it

Thanks for this. I just logged on and realized I had 5 unused accounts and paying between $20 and $40 a month on each account - for lord knows how long. Canceled them all

People still use Sirius XM?
I won't even activate a 1yr trial that came with my car because I don't want to deal with cancelling later.

Throw in the company's obsession with that limo-commie Tom Morello and Ive rarely bothered listening to the rock channels anymore. Even Turbo has gone to shite with Shannon telling everyone every hour that she sucks Chad Gray's cock every night before bed.
Madison is also really good. She'd also get it.

Thanks for the info. Mine renews in a couple months. I hate having to remember to jump through the hoops every year. I usually forget until I get that first increased monthly charge on my card.

I still like it and play the "threaten to cancel" game for cheap rates, but it kind of pisses me off that the reason I liked Sirius originally was that it was "Commercial Free" and now there's a ridiculous amount of ads....

What does this mean?
Sound quality? Or the quality of their choices?

Yeah you're not wrong. Madison is good in small doses.
Tom Morello needs his arse kicked.
Mike Terry is my guy.

Really depends on your interests. Tons of finacial and self help channels. Entertainment talk channels are there as well and of course ALL of the major sports talk shows are there.
I stumbled on Classic Radio channel and get all the old radio serials from way back. They'll even play vintage radio commercials. Have had it locked on 147 for a while now.

I get on their website and chat with someone. I always end up getting it for around 7 dollars a month for a year when I say I’m going to cancel.
