Cuck Chad? That doesn’t even make sense . I just understand the psychological motivations of women. Neuroticism drives them to a very large degree, the urge to have constant low intensity turmoil in their life. What men refer to as “ drama”. The OP is likely caught between two neurotic women and he should just lay down the law by demanding they bite their tongues and get along for the greater good.

Who means more to you? If it's your family, then you should do your wife a favor and set her free.

I've been in a situation similar to that, except it was between me and my former mother-in-law. Just don't let it become a rift between you and your wife. It caused a major rift between myself and now my ex-wife, but I wouldn't change anything.
In short, my ex-mother-in-law was sleeping with everybody in the small town where they were living and my ex-sister-in-law caught her in the back of new neighborhood with another man. My ex-wife and ex-mother -in-law refused to tell my father-in-law and wanted to act like everything was fine, but I refused to take part in it. He eventually found out and they are now divorced but it definitely damaged my marriage.
You're in a tough spot, but make sure your wife feels supported by you because family squabbles came get out of control. Wish you the best of luck!

My wife and family have had underlying issues but we lived 500 miles away so it was easier to ignore the issues for a weekend or so and we just love our lives. But we have moved back to town and drama has ensued/ i mean no real drama -basically it’s just that i hate confrontation which manifests in poor communication. And feelings get hurt etc Fast forward to an upcoming event, my sister (also no photos) really wants us to attend and i KNOW it’s going to cause a rift if i don’t come but my wife just threw down that she wasn’t going to go because she wasn’t welcome (basically my sister said she didn’t trust my wife…now, my wife hadn’t done anything to warrant that comment but my sister said it ) So now… i have to tell my sister that we aren’t coming but make it sound as if it’s my idea as so i minimize the collateral damage (meaning…how my sister will react if she finds out that this is my wife’s decision)
Sounds like you and your wife need to sit down and hash out your expectations for each other. If you are expecting her to attend family events now that you have moved back you need to tell her that.
She will have to be an adult and suck it up to support her husband because, you know, that’s what spouses do. I do shite with my wife with people I absolutely loathe, but it’s her and her event so I want to support her. You have to get your wife to realize that it’s about you and her, and not your family.
Now it also seems like you need to have a sit down with your sister and tell her to watch her goddamn mouth. That’s your wife, and like it or not she has to respect it. If the disrespect continues you and your wife will not be present at future family events.

Why don’t you ask your sister why she doesn’t trust your wife.
Wife got drunk and told sis she was giving up them guts to an old high school flame.
This sister know wife is a whore

None of this happened.

Rock (wife) between (me) Hard place (my family)
I’m sure this has been addressed, but the saying is “stuck between a rock and a hard place.” So you are between your wife (the rock) and a hard place (family). It’s annoying me that you haven’t fixed the title yet.
Also, most people are spot on. You should always be with your wife unless she’s being completely unreasonable for no reason. But this seems like your family/sister is the unreasonable one. So you need to suck it up and stop being a pussy and either confront your sister on her bullshite or tell her to frick right off. And if she asks why, you explain to her that she’s being unreasonably cuntish toward your wife for no reason. Your wife should be your #1. Defend her against your a-hole family for chrissakes.

You always side with your wife, always.
Plus if you wife is a good and honest person, and your sister said she didn’t trust her, eff your sister and you shouldn’t hang out with her anyway.
