Not brand related but how come at Sam's and Costco people refuse to use the other lane just because there gas tank is not on that side? The gas hoses have the ability to stretch across your vehicle! Just blows my mind people will line up 5 cars deep while the other side has no cars in line.

Whatever one doesn't give my engine the knocks.

No.
But I do refuse to purchase gasoline, or anything else, from Citco stations.

Depending where u live the gas u are pumping is probably local including Citgo...Only the additives are different with each brand...

Since Costco opened-----whatever brand they sell.
Before Costco, the Shell or Texaco near the house depending on what side of the street I was driving on.

Not really. Just as long as it’s not ghetto

If you know anything about the gasoline blending business...no, you shouldn't be loyal to any one brand. Buy cheap and from a station that has high tank turns (busy).
People saying they only buy from fill in the blank because they have stock in said company...super majors haven't owned stations in decades, you're not helping your dividend in any meaningful way.
If you would like to believe that Techron is better than whatever XOM is putting in your gasoline, go right ahead...all gasoline is required to have a detergent additive, branded or unbranded.

Refineries can and will blend anyone’s gas. They have all the recipes. Much of the same with motor oil.
Gasoline is a bit different from trying to boycott a beer. The US can only make X barrels a day.
At one time Placid in Port Allen made the Racetrack gas. They only run South Louisiana Crude at Placid.
I buy gas from the one that gives me a discount on my gas card.

Stick your gas cap under the handle if you still have one.

Whats the deal with people waiting in line at Costco to save a couple bucks? These people must have nothing to do.
Posted on 7/18/23 at 7:26 pm to OrangeWhip
Hell no. I am loyal to the lowest price in the area, except for the cigarette store loss leaders.

Shell VPower. My cars have never had issues and run like a top.
And yes, the cars I own require Premium.

Refineries have limited capabilities when it comes to blending…they don’t have large enough tank farms.
You need the midstream sector, specifically storage terminals with large tank farms to help facilitate that….Kinder, Magellan, IMTT, Enterprise…that’s where the real blending happens.

I avoid BP since they started with their virtue signaling beyond petroleum marketing program, only to suffer catastrophic safety problems. Focus on your core mission and competency.

I always use Shell in my vehicles. I've had good luck with those vehicles and I use the fuel rewards. Every now and again it'll have promos where you save 25 cents on a gallon for filling up on a Thursday or buying 2 red bulls would save you 50 cents on the gallon.I once went ate at a participating restaurant and saved like $1.50 on a gallon of gas.

Its all the same shite. Its like bread, it all comes from the same place, they just put it in different packages.. Well that might be a bad example because the bread manufacturers do add or subtract ingredients, depending on what each brand wants, but the gas truck dude goes to once station, fills it up, then goes to the next station.. Then I guess they go fill back up, then go to the next station after that.
