Have you ever seen a politician commit political suicide more pathetically than RDS?

It has long been my plan to vote for whichever Rep candidate that wins the primary. I agree with RDS supporters that he is more electable than Trump in the presidential, but I didn’t think he could sway enough MAGAs to win the nomination.
He should have never challenged Trump.
His best bet was to stay on the sideline and only step in if Trump is somehow disqualified.
But his advisors clearly told him differently.
By taking bad advice, RDS has probably killed his national electability forever.
I can’t believe RDS went from the heir apparent to whatever he is today in only 6 months.

This should make you wonder more about MAGA than anything else.

Not suicide, yet. He should ignore the TDS RINOS and get back behind the plow. An explosion is coming and he’d beat let a rogue fighter handle that. It will be ugly. Marxist/Fascist guarantee that. They are dead serious when it comes to ‘social justice’.

Let's see how many we can get

He was goaded into it by the elite rich republicans currently giving him millions for his campaign. He sold out. Which says alot about his character.

How can a re-elected and term-limited Governor commit “political suicide”?
Your thread seems premised on the erroneous notion that RDS would have somehow been the anointed one 5 years from now if he had stayed out in 2024. That’s dumb as frick.

I find it funny that when Trump is leading the polls we should believe them but 10 months from now when he's down in the polls it'll be fake news. This election and primary is far from over. We would all be wise to let it play out and not be swayed by all of the "influence" that is being played by all sides. I actually think that RD has played everything perfect. I don't think many people are paying much attention right now.
I know a ton of people that were and still are MAGA but are also on the fence as to whether he is the right candidate for this election or if it's time to move on. I think a large percentage of that could swing as the primary gets closer. Just my 2 cents. Trump is being Trump and playing it correctly and seems like Teflon still.

Trump’s NFT cards aren’t real life. He had 4 years to fight, go “scorched earth” and every other euphemism you can think of and he got mostly skull drug. You should have figured it out when “lock her up” suddenly became “too divisive” once he got your vote.

The biggest mistake of DeSantis (who if you remember I thought had a real chance) was to listen to 2015-2016 era Never Trump’ers. These people are disgusting losers who are always wrong and offer no insights to victory.

Yeah, I thought he had a chance too, at least enough of a chance to make it competitive. But the Never Trump’ers quickly turned his campaign into Jeb! 2.0.
Maybe he can correct? ?????

I don’t see how unless he cleans house and purges all never Trump’ers.

I don’t think this is an irreversible error, but it’s gotta be fixed ASAP. People want to coalesce behind his leadership, but don’t want to say so out loud. He has to give them a reason to, like in Florida.

Besides, strategically, it was pretty fukkin' stupid to try to bump off Trump, and you sanctimonous dipshits who were fooled by bad parents into thinking you were smart are to blame.

After Trump blows 2024 and fades into irrelevance no one is going to care about this in 2028.

I enjoy watching the amateur political analysis on here presented as Canon law. It’s absolutely hilarious.
“My name is Cletus and I’m from Bumblefrick, Tennersee and I’m onna tell y’all what Ron DeSanctimonious done did wrong on his here campaign.”
Keep this shite coming.

I think DeSantis could win Georgia, Arizona, Nevada, and Wisconsin.
I think Trump could win Georgia next go round, but he’s got zero shot on the other three at this point.

If you think any of this matters, this far out, I don’t know what to tell you. No one is really paying attention yet.

A fools trail. So be "the guy" only by default Boy thats a leader people flock to. Dumbest post in awhile. You don't become a leader people flock to waiting for someone else to fail. Loser mentality easily defeated in a election. Hard pass. Please make further suggestions to the dims running.

Same way a guy with an Ivy law degree and military JAG experience would be selling insurance if not for Trump.
There are some sad, delusional people here.
