As someone from another school in the district, I'm not sure if I'd say greatest in history. But he was really good and did run into those issues.
He was in the Olympics on the men's bobsled team, I believe.

Lol. I was playing in a junior golf tournament at UM during the summer before his Freshman year. Went and watched some of a Michigan summer workout or whatever they are called. Talked to him a bit. Then randomly ran him into him somewhere else in AA later in the day. Talked a bit more to him. He said to me he wanted to be a Reggie Bush type player at UM.
Nice guy though.
Too bad he had horrible coaching under Rich Rod at UM, an absolute terrible system on offense for the personnel UM had, and him returning kicks was stupid (ended up with a concussion and/or some other dumb injuries). I don't know much about his career at Rice.
He was on the US Olympic bobsled team at the last Winter Olympics, so that's cool.
