Yes everyone knows that the downside to having to play an extra game is that we had to use two of our best arms to beat Tennessee. No argument there.

However, these batters needed extra reps against high quality pitching. Our bats have cooled off somewhat since coming to Omaha. Crews REALLY needed that home run last night. Tommy will get his act together. Bottom line is that we needed these extra reps. Hopefully this helps us tonight against another good pitching staff.

All we need to do is find a way to win tonight and ride the hell out of Skenes tomorrow.

If we win tonight and PITCH skenes tomorrow thats prolly it for him for the tourney, right?

Maybe, he could go again on Monday if needed?

If we had a late lead on Monday I could see him pitching the 9th but thats about it.

Understand what you are saying, but it’s 2 extra games. More negatives than positives.

If we were to survive, you just hope TCU can take one from Florida.

If you want Skenes in the championship series, he'll need to pitch tonight not tomorrow. IF he pitches tonight it'd be on a pitch count, same with Monday of a championship series. Your best chance is to let him try and go a full game tomorrow and rely on Floyd, Hurd and Ack against FLA/TCU

Every game I get to watch Crews & Morgan play before they leave is a treasure.

Yes he will be available monday for a couple of innings. If you remember back in 2017, we burned Lange against Oregon State and didnt have him available until game 3 against Florida. unfortunately Florida won the first two games and we didnt get to pitch Lange for game 3.

IMHO I like the first part of what you said. Skenes should pitch tonight to better ensure that we even have a second game tomorrow, then let him pitch on Monday (hopefully). Skenes should be pitching against the #1 team or we may be done w/o a win against this arrogant so called "juggernaut."

I really wanted to see Thompson deliver in his last at bat with two on and already up 5 with no pressure. That would have really helped his confidence.

Yeah, thats all I can see from him as well. If we use him today or tomorrow.

Truly, if you want to win it all you need to beat wake twice w/o him and save him for the CHAMP series.

It's a risk but if you pull it off adn we set up well for the series.

Everyone needs to stop. Skenes isn’t pitching early. He has a routine. He is a mlb pitcher. He isn’t going early.

Crews had a single and a double in game 1.
Crews had two hits including the homer in game 3.

He’s batting .333 for the series even with a sure home run being killed by the wind in game 3.

You people REALLY don’t know what struggling is.

Floyd was interviewed by Jacques Doucet last night and asked Ty about Ack’s performance. Ty said he was looking forward to watching Ack pitch on Sunday.

That tells me that Skenes is going tomorrow and Floyd/Hurd in game 1 of the championship series on Saturday.

See 2017 as to what happens when you use up your arms.

Meh.. I think IF he pitches tomorrow, he is on a pitch count so he might could pitch on Monday.

No reason to put him out there tonight if we lose tomorrow.

In my opinion, I don’t think they are looking ahead to the finals at all yet. The only goal right now is to win the next 2 games.

If he is a MLB pitcher than going tomorrow is what an MLB pitcher does
