Dropping in here as a coastal Ins agent.
A) insurance sucks, so let’s get that out of the way
B) it was just reported by AM Best that for Q1 of 2023, insurance companies in America lost a collective $8.2 BILLION.

So, while insurance sucks, it’s not getting any better any time soon.

My advice:leave LA, as it, next to FL and MI, are the worst states insurance wise.

Yeah, no claims since i've moved in and it just keeps going up, doesn't help my house value has apparently gone up immensely as well

makes less and less sense to live here ... the money i am saving on my low interest (2.5%) is completely nullified by my home insurance.

if i wasn't stuck for the next 5 years i'd be gone in a month.

I’d get uninsured motorist coverage. The amount of bottom feeding scum, driving around Baton Rouge uninsured is astounding.

These are the same people who are always on the prowl looking to hit it big with the ghetto lottery.

FB is rolling out a new auto insurance program. Contact agent to see if it benefits you. If you have good credit and driving record you may do better. Did mine last week. Tripled my limits and saves $70 a month between two vehicles.

Mine went up by $50 last renewal and I have no tickets, no accidents and it’s a 2017 Jeep… I called and bitch and the response was basically “inflation.”

You can thank all of the ridiculous judgements for this.

MS actually does this right. They have the pain & suffering indemnity capped at 1mm.

We just change insurance. All State was $312/mo for two cars no accitents/tickets.

we are now about half that.

229 a month for a 2018 and 2021 through Farm Bureau. 100/300. $250 comp deductible and $500 collision. It's bundled with my homeowners.

It's disgusting to see how much of my pay goes to insurance.
