Mazda is best car for the money right now. CX-30 & CX-50 both fall under $50k

They really are quite nice. The OP is looking for a sedan though and unfortunately Mazda nixed the 6 so his only option would be the 3 or a used 6. Both are imo the best looking and handling sedans out there.

I just bought a Mazda CX-9 and have been plenty surprised with the value of features and drive versus price. I'd look at one of their sedans.

Accord, Civic, TLX, Integra, Camry, Corolla, ES, IS, Mazda3, A4 — these are all really solid offerings.

Honorable mention to the Korean offerings, too.

I would actually buy a new Prius to use for commuting.
It wouldn't fit our family, but it would fit me driving around for work or for one-off trips taking kids to school and whatnot.

My Tundra gets 13mpg, and I am averaging over 20k miles per year on it. Much lower now than pre-covid, but still a lot.

Just get a Nissan Altima. You can illegally tint your windows, have fake paper license plates, rusted paint, and can drive like you're at the Indy 500. The money you save on being incognito will pay for the car.

Acura Integra. Just bought our daughter one and it comes standard with all the safety features you need. Leather, sunroof, etc… Out the door with TT&L for under $38K.

Also a better factory warranty than your standard 3 yr / 36K mile.

I got a Subaru Outback Wilderness last year. Kind of great all around car. Dig it. I am in Asheville so it is kind of a great disguise (I’m conservative and not a lesbian). Recommend

I had a Mazda 626 I bought new in 2001. Was a fun car to drive and had a good ride. Mazda makes some underrated vehicles.

4- door Tundra, 4x4 with low mileage can be bought in the $20's, and is a wonderful family vehicle with good longevity.

Pass on it if you commute a long way. They are vv thirsty.
