And doesn't cost more than $50k?

Four door car (just a regular ole sedan) with a real car engine.

Market for these seems like absolute dogshit at the present.

You're right. Most new car design is pretty bad. Might be better off buying something older.

Or an Accord. Any Honda for that matter.

They all come with a fricking CVT now. Screw those.

The styling has just gotten atrocious and if you start loading up on any number of reasonable options, you just as soon start looking at the Lexus - which is sort of where I'm looking, just wondering if there's ANYTHING ELSE worthwhile at all.

I’m afraid the days of sedans are nearly done in America.

Can you not get some sporty Accord with a manual?

Accord, Camry, Sonata, Genesis.

I just got the Sonata SEL Plus a few months back and have enjoyed it. The N-Line looks really solid too if you can find one. Standard package/features on them is pretty solid plus pretty fantastic warranty. May not be as sporty as you are wanting though.

Mazda is best car for the money right now. CX-30 & CX-50 both fall under $50k

I've been driving my 2012 Elantra with no major issues and it still gets 34mpg.

It'll be my daughter's soon and I'm tempted to just get a new one...or a Tucson hybrid.

I've got a factory order in for a new Subaru Outback, Premium with a few add ons. $39k. My 2012 Subaru Outback has been a great car and I'm selling it for $7k with 140k miles. Not sure if it falls under your definition of "real car engine"; but it'll pull my boat up the ramp and is great on sand roads and is enough for me.

Subaru WRX
Acura TLS
Infiniti Q50

I know you didn't say used but... you can prob find a Cadillac CT5-V at just over 50.

Actually, just get a gently used BMW M340i and call it a day. Thats what I would do.

I just meant any ICE. I'd prefer something more than 4 cylinders, but can be somewhat flexible in my dinosaur approach.

Don't all the Subarus have CVTs?
