Foul lines: 335 ft
Power alleys: 375 ft
Center: 408 ft

Alex Box:

Foul lines: 330 ft

The problem with the park isn’t the dimensions it’s the direction the park faces usually wind blowing in and the proximity to the Missouri River it keeps the air heavy which causes less carry on the ball

is baseball the only sport with a non standard/universal sized playing surface? it's always seemed so weird to me.

Pretty sure soccer pitches in Europe differ in dimensions as well in the same league.

Golf courses are all different.

They’ve made it better… but it’s still arse compared to Rosenblatt and a slap in the face not being named New Rosenblatt

Golf isn’t that big of a deal, because all players go through the same course and the. You have a winner and such. For baseball and soccer and to have different sized fields has always been ridiculous.

It’s awesome. The game would lose something special if every ballpark was exactly the same. The diamond is the same everywhere and that’s all that matters.

Now if we could just ban artificial turf……

Travinski's power has no limits. I expect he still goes yard at least once.

Humidity feels “heavier” but it would actually help in this situation, since more humid air is less dense. The wind is obviously a big factor though.

I remember when they first switched to the new park and then changed the bats and probably the balls too. There was one year when there were maybe or 1 or 2 home runs the whole tournament. “Small ball” was definitely king. I think it has loosened up some. Here’s hoping for some good wide open play.

I love parks like Fenway. As for playing surfaces not being the same we see it in football. ND used to grow their grass high to hurt speedy teams.

Baseballs travel further in humid air than they do in dry air.
